Default Dominican blowout

I grew up with Dominican blowouts. I noticed that although they make my hair look healthier while straight they disrupt my curl pattern a lot so my hair does not look healthy when curly, instead it looks frizzy, dry, and unruly. Hence the reason why since I've started being cg I've been ignoring my mom and her comments. She has hated me doing this whole cg thing. She feels I look like an unruly mess. No surprise there, but even my dad has been making comments now, which surprises me! He's usually supportive about me learning to be happy with what I have. I just feel like I just have to be patient because getting my hair this damaged has been from a lot of years and so naturally it should take slot of years to get it back to a good state. I've been cg for six years now which doesn't compare to the years I've had my hair relaxed and blown out and cut. Has anyone reached their maximum hair improvement? If so how long did it take you?

Depending on your climate, and your hair some frizz may be inevitable. Have you been six years not using excessive heat? Have you been using protein treatments and deep treatments? The proper protein/moisture balance is really important to your hair's condition and health.

A little information on your hair's properties and the products you are presently using can also help you to get good advice.

Experimenting with too many products to name here. All this great info keeps my head spinning.

Hi risos, I am DR too, and believe me has not been easy to having a healthy and shiny curl and more with the weather we have, but not impossible, in my case sometimes also i straight my hair, and then takes a while to recover ... I have to around 7 to 8 years with curly hair and this leads to a big commitment and great dedication.

we have many products that go great with our curly hair that can help you improve your hair appearance and make it more healty and stronger, if you want.

You've been CG for 6 years, but have you cut off all the hair from before that time?
