Growing long curls

I have used a bit straight and it was ok. Generally I put some with water in a hair dye bottle and apply it all over my scalp and rub it in...I was doing once or twice a day...I'll probably make up some more this weekend

Back on Cones,so now my routine is,wash with Deva No-Poo every other day or so. Occasionally use 365 sulfate free, maybe use low sulfate shampoo mixed with conditioner once every two weeks are longer. I condition with Aussie Moist or HEHH. I style with a little GF TN,and finish up with tons of GN Pure Clean Smoothing Cream. No frizz...slippy, happy hair.
So do you have to wash it out?like can u wait till a few days til you co-wash or do u wash it out everyday?what are your results like?
Btw thanks so much for all your replies I know I've asked like a jillion q's I'm new to this site and before coming on here I was pretty sure I had 3a hair now I'm so confused maybe I'm 2c? Oh well guess it's for anather thread lol
Again many thanks 😃
U can't really see it once u put in on. So I may leave it on all day and rinse it out the next day. I have to re wet my hair everyday...so nothing is in longer than that

Time is the one that that worked for me. In high school, my hair was just below shoulder length for years without getting a haircut. I figured that was as long as it would get. After college, I cut it short and then did some major chemical damage to it and had to cut it super short (like an inch long, and even had to cut that part off once it grew out). That was NOT a good look. So after doing that, I decided to grow it out.

Fast forward 11 years and my hair is longer than it has ever been (almost to my bra strap now!). I rarely get haircuts (1-2 a year), though the year before I got married I got them every 6 weeks. I didn't notice any more or less growth either way. I did also take a nails and hair vitamin formula with lots of biotin and other good stuff for a while - my hair seemed better on that, but I have no quantifiable data on that.

For the last 5 years or so I've been using coconut oil as my primary styling product, and my hair loves it. I also use mousse and a curl spray. My hair is still dry and I have split ends, but my hair has never been split-end-free, and I figure that's just the way it's going to be.

Really, I think the best thing you can do is be patient and stay committed to growing it out. It may take a long time, exacerbated by the fact that curly hair seems shorter than it is because of all those curls. If your curls lengthen with the weight of longer hair, then you're in luck. But if you're like me and your hair gets curlier as it gets longer (completely defies all logic and reason), you're in it for the long haul.

You can do it! Don't give up!
I just straightened my hair and I can't believe how long it's getting I'm so pleased this is the best my hair has ever grown
I totally agree that patience is a biggy
I'm looking for curly hair extentions at the moment because I think if I can put hair in and fake the length then I won't have to straighten it hence healthier hair and more growth because I won't be breaking it with heat and lots of manipulation.well that's my theory anyway lol
Does anyone know werei can buy curly hair extentions online? And do they come in clip ins?
Thanks do much for the cheer and info redcleo and ladies 😃
I'm 55 years old and I've never had long hair until now. My secret....stop cutting it. It is as simple as that. I get 1/2" trims about 3 or 4 times a year. I started from shoulder length when I joined NC.com 3 year ago and my hair sits at waist when it is curly. If I pull it straight it is near my butt crack. We call that BCL at longhaircommunity.com.
