Hey guys so I read an article on Jurnee saying her hair was natural but her and her sisters hair both seem different than when they were younger. Is it just me or what?

They both look heat damaged to me. So that would explain the looser curls. Or they're lying. Or not. But that first pic is a fine pic of a head of damaged hair.

Jurnee's hair BEEN heat damaged. I remember way back when she was a little kid and she had beautiful tight curls.. around a 3c/3b mixture. I do believe she's natural (because she's always gone back straight and curly thru the years but she's worn her hair curly often enough to make me believe she's probably natural) but her curls are very damaged from heat and dye and have been that way for years.

This is damaged but looks better. You can see the under curls are a bit tighter..less damaged.


Seemed like when she was little her curls were brushed out a lot and naturally her hair is not super dark:


You can see when she gets to be a teen.. her hair is definitely been damaged but the tight curls that aren't that bad are about a 3c.





Here is her hair lighter..dyed but with a tighter curl pattern so clearly there has been a progression of heat damage and dye damage since she was teen.

Oh wow thank you so much. This was very detailed and now I know. I do love her hair either way but it is really sad.
