I have a hair lotion with castor oil as a top ingredient - it's Bronner Brothers or something. I do scalp massages with it about every night but I couldn't imagine using castor oil alone on your hair unless it's used very sparingly. I don't think it's helped my hair growth or condition much (I also apply it to my hair ends sometimes.) but I'm not using straight castor oil.

Default Online Shopping

I really want to join this challenge but I am kind of nervous about online shopping (no nearby reasonably priced health food stores)

I use to be too and after buying a book from amazon I don't think its as bad as I thought.I've book over 10 items and have never been ripped off.....although I've never used a credit card to pay I just use gift cards.

And sometimes the health food stores have crappy stuff that smells old/rancid because people barely buy it so its not regularly restocked.Well that's what happened to me with coconut oil.

Do you have a liquor store near by that sells food, magazines, ect because there's one near me that sells all types of oils but its suppose to be for cooking?

It has really been going great so far I have only been using it for about 2 weeks so the little amount of growth I have noticed looks like it is growing a little thicker and healthier. I am expecting great results by the end of this challenge.

I've been using castor oil for a few months now. I reallly love it. It helps lock in moisture in my hair.

Surprisingly, I was skeptical about it at first because of how thick it is, but my hair controls the decisions here obviously lol

I went CG two weeks ago, and just read that castor oil can't be washed out without sulfates
Any of you having trouble by trying to no poo/co wash it out?

The only way I get co out of my hair is to use sulfates. I don't mind using shampoo once in a while to clarify though. I was cg for over a year but my hair is fine with mod-cg...
