Ugh I can't get 2nd day hair I always end up have to wet my hair n put more leave in

I have heat damaged and parts of my hair have low density I tried pineapple but I curls in back and side (low Density) goes straight Smh I know I need to cut need to go soon Cant do braid outs style won't stay for long I just dnt kno what to do anymore

My hair is different from yours (too short to pineapple, 3ab - high porosity) but have the same issue and I think many of us are in that predicament.

two things that help me: washing at night then doing my condish n oil thing n sleeping with damp hair.
or:
rewetting my curls bit the next morning n applying more condish and oil.
i get different results with both those ways, sleeping on wet curls makes my hair alot more stretched.
n rewetting gives me tighter, though springier n bouncier more volume curls.
