Help Please

Hi, I've been trying to find the perfect leave-in/moisturizer. I've been trying shea moisture curl enhancing smoothies but its a bit to heavy, and doesn't feel as moisturizering. I want something preferably silicone free, not a cream or butter, and possibly easy to find?

Thanx in advance!

Can we have a little bit more information?

Does your hair like protein? Hate it? Is it fine (and therefore in danger of over conditioning)? Is it thick? What other products have you used?

Yes, I think my hair likes protein such as hydrolized silk and keratin. And my hairs in the middle not too thick and not to thin, but fine. I've tried shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie but it seems too heavy and makes my hair feel dry in areas but with greasy film. And neutrogena triple moisture silk leave in, which i liked but it has cones.

Here's a link to help you determine your hair properties Live Curly Live Free - Curly Hair Basics. It's the best way to determine what ingredients/products to use. Once you determine your properties, you can look with people with hair like yours and see what they use (in signatures.)

What about Shea Moisture Milk leave ins? Those aren't as heavy since they don't have butters in them.

I've tried the curl enhancing smoothie, but I didn't like it. left my hair feeling dry. I also tried the yucca and aloe growth milk which I like, but its like my hair eats it up lol. after a few hours its not as moisturized

My hair felt so dry with the curl enhancing smoothie & Giovanni only let me moisturizer for a day or so. Curl Junkie Smoothing Lotion is my holy grail leave in. I don't have to use a lot & my hair is always moisturized until the next wash!

The Shea Moisture smoothie leaves a weird feeling to my hair hours after . When I BC it worked really well but as my hair grows and thickens it dies not like it anymore. Yes I use the direct leave in but now I want to try that curl junkie smoothing lotion

Allnaturalchick let me know if you try it out. I can't say enough good things about it. I'm going abroad in January & I'm scrambling to figure out how I can get ahold of it overseas.

I tried to shea moisture leave ins both made my hair feel weird. But i broke down and recently ordered some curl junkie products since i did a semi big chop. Omg best stuff i"ve been able to find yet. I got the olive and argan oil conditioner, smoothing lotion, curl rehab, and daily fix. All great

The best moisturizing leave-in I've ever used is KCKT. :-) I have tried the Sheamoisture leave-ins but they seem to just coat my hair!
