Default Need help!

Hey! I'm new to the community.
Curl Pattern: 3A
Porosity: Low
Density: High
Hair Width: Fine
Hair Length: 2 inches below the shoulders
And I have quite a bit of fizz

I live in a place with high humidity. Can anyone please suggest a product for me?
According to what i read on this site, i need

Protein-free
daily conditioners with humectants(glycerin or honey)
moisturizers rich in emollients such as shea butter, jojoba oil, coconut oil and mineral oil
lighter, liquid-based products such as hair milks
heavy products such as gels, creams and butters
Deep conditioning

Its confusing!

What products can i use for a regime?
Thanks a lot in advance!

Not sure how you decided on what you need??? You say you're confused and I am after reading your conclusions.

The "property" page on nc.com is the only place that I've read about low porosity and not liking protein. You may want to do some reading here: Live Curly Live Free - Home It's generally coarse hair that doesn't like/need protein. My hair is fine/low porosity and never met a protein it didn't like. I do at least one PT a week and use a lot of products with protein.

Most of us stay away from mineral oil and other petroleum products.

Why do you think milks are light products and gels are heavy???

I never DT. My hair is in such good condition that the shampoo guy at the salon where I go won't condition it! (He just doesn't "get it.")

If your location is humid all year around, you may want to search and try "sealing." It's good a way to maintain the moisture in your hair in really high or low dewpoints.

hey kathymack!
I'm sorry i wasn't specific. i wanted some help with what products to choose and what regime to follow. i live in Asia so i cant buy a lot of products available in USA. i have ordered for DevaCurl no-poo shampoo and one condition for conditioning.
Plucking works very well for me. Can you help me with something for frizz control with little use of products? A lot of products and heat make my hair very very dry.
Also what is sealing?
The suggestions made for the texture my hair has contradicts in some aspects which is what i posted in the latter half of my previous post.
P.S.: i am new so please pardon me if my questions are silly
P.P.S.: you have beautiful curls.

Thanks for the compliments! I knew you were asking for products. Just thought your conclusions of what ingredients were incorrect, so wanted to point that out to you. You may want to check the link I gave you to help you determine what ingredients to use and why.

Many of us start out with Deva and then move on to things we like more. My salon has the Deva products, but I won't let them use the NoPoo on my hair. I find it very drying since the ingredient change a few years ago.

I can't really help you with not using products. If you do some reading and searching, you may find information from others in a similar situation (live abroad and don't have access to products as we do in the US.)

Sealing is applying an oil/butter (for me a richer product) to "seal" the moisture into your hair. Once again, I suggest you use the search function to look up threads on that topic. Searching and reading is the best way to learn. There's a lot of information on nc.com.

My low-po hair hates protein. I've seen several site disagree on the porosity/protein connection. Personally, I don't think there is one.

Good luck finding products - kathymack has given you a good direction to start in. It's a bit of trial and error even when trying products your hair properties "should" like.

My hair:
2b wavy, medium texture, low porosity, med-high density. Protein finicky.
My routine:
Cleansing: DCNP, every 4-5 days (occasionally use CJ cleansers).
RO: CJSC, occasionally use JCDC
LI: KCKT or CJSL
Gel: KCCC, CJCIAB for 2nd day hair (sometimes third)

Heat is my friend: warm water rinses, steam caps, and diffuse dry. I love CLU cloths and my Denman.
