{trying to avoid problems} What products clash and leave build up?
I've been creating my curl routine and I notice that some products work well together and others do not.
Today my routine was (in order of application) co-wash: one hair for dry hair moisturize: coco curls Leave in: garnier fructis sleek and shine leave in (first time using this) gel: goddess curls, eco styler all was well until I added the gel. I added goddess curls and got this build up of white flakes in my hair. Mostly at the roots. I thought it was the goddess curls so I tried eco styler gel on another side of my head and the same thing happened. So the leave in had issues with the gel. Now i need start over and get the build up out. Wondering if there are any product clashes you've experienced so I don't make this mistake again with something else. Would love to learn from you. |
Tresemme Naturals doesn't mix with Eco Styler as a leave in. Found THAT our the hard way. :( LoL!!

thanks Black Angel
Thanks for the tip...that's one I can avoid now.

Mix a small amount in your hand first. That way if it leaves that gummy texture all you have to do is wash your hands instead of your hair.

that is such a great idea! Thanks for the time saver!

Cantu leave in doesn't mix well with Eco styler |
I had thought that about Tressemme Naturals and ecostyler as well, BUT, I just found out this week that TN Nourishing Moisture works perfectly for me with the Eco Argan Oil gel. I don't know if any of you have tried that, but I didn't have any problems and as a matter of fact that's what's in my hair now...no flakes and very soft.
With that being said Eco olive oil does not work at all with TN. But I love it with PM The Conditioner... |
good to know those subtle product shifts can make such a big difference/
