getting hair back to natural fullness

hi folks,

i've been a slave to my chi flatiron for a bit, though my hair *used* to be very curly and very thick. i've stopped using the flatiron for about 3 weeks now, but my hair is very thin, and falls/breaks off quite often. what sorts of products should i be using to get my hair back to it's natural state? thanks!

I think you want to do a deep conditioning at least once a week and use a good leave-in conditioner with water and emollients. The tighter your curl, I believe, the more important it is to seal your other products with some kind of butter or oil. You can clip it up as it dries, and/or use a diffuser on cool (works best if you lean over it, get your hair up in it, then turn it on and hold it for a few minutes, and then turn it off before moving it). You can play around with mousse, hair spray, and root lifters. But someone please correct me if I don't know what I'm talking about!

I just decided to try some of these guys--they look really good:

Woot has good ideas and also you would likely benefit from a protein treatment. Make sure you deep condition after the PT. Hope that helps!
