I can't figure my hair out

Is my hair 3a or 2c?? I'm think 3a, but it is flat on top like a lot of 2c people's... What do u think?Attachment 28952Attachment 28954Attachment 28955

I would consider it more 2c than 3a. I see lots of very strong twirls, but not really any full curls (spirals), and not much root curl, which many people here use as a way to differentiate between 2c and 3a. Your hair is gorgeous, by the way.
The thing to keep in mind is that curl pattern can be very transient and can vary greatly based on how you take care of your hair (products/techniques). Curl pattern is important for hair cuts and styling, but that's really about it. Products are best chosen by properties (texture, porosity, etc), and the right products and techniques will maximize your curl pattern, no matter what it is. |
your hair is not flat on top at all! i'd actually like to know how you get all that volume. if that's your natural curl pattern, color me jealous!

Well I curled a few root curls in the pic with the purple shirt.... Also, it always looks great in the front and has 6 inches of straight hair in the back at the top..

Ugh I have that too! It drives me crazy. In that case you're probably 2c.
