Default help! whats my hair type?

hey I'm new!....very interested in getting my hair back to how it used to look; going to start CG pretty soon because I miss my curls AND my bf misses them (lol) I've been looking at pictures of before and after and he's like OMG if your curls are still curly imagine what they will do after! (and reminiscing what they looked like years ago) so I figure I should start by knowing what kind of hair I have! so here are some OLD pictures

Highschool=first two
few years ago (most pretty, what I want it to look like again)=third
most recent=last

Looks like a solid 3a in terms of curl type! Very very pretty! Now you want to figure out other features of your hair, like whether it's porous, the thickness of each strand (fine, medium, or coarse), the elasticity, etc. Search around the forum cuz there's lots of great links on these topics.

Curl pattern looks like 3a in more recent pic, closer to 3b in older pics. Keep in mind that hormones, diet, etc can all impact hair, so sometimes we don't have the same type of curls when we're older that we had when we were younger. The other thing to remember is that curl pattern can be very transient and can be impacted by products, humidity, dew points, etc. knowing your hair properties (texture, porosity, etc) is much more important because it will directly impact what products/ingredients will and won't work for your hair. Check out livecurlylivefree.com for a bunch of info for determining your hair properties.

You're my hair twin and I'm 3A. I have a lot of 3B underneath though so I like to pin my top layer back to show off those ringlets.
