Deep conditioned and hair came out one big frizz-ball - Wtf?
So I used As I Am curl clarity to clarify my hair, and then I used the hydration elation, applied some heat with my blow dryer, and let it sit in my hair (covered with a cap) for 30 minutes. Afterwards I rinsed it out and put As I Am leave-in conditioner. Well, my hair just finished drying (4 hours later as usual -__-) and it's one gigantic ball of frizz. It looks horrible and I'm in shock. Any idea what could be wrong? I have always had lots of frizz, but never this bad. I've used all these products before without this outcome (still always have frizz, but that's something I still haven't found a solution to), so I don't know what went wrong

You don't list your properties, so it's hard to give advice. It could be an ingredient that your hair doesn't like (I know that some of their products have castor oil in them, which makes my hair frizzy and greasy at the same time.) If it's hard and frizzy, it could be protein. If it's soft and frizzy, it's over conditioned.
If you only used a leave in to style, you probably need gel/jelly product on top.

Sorry I thought I did. I have fine 2c/3a hair with low porosity and high density. I didn't know that I could over condition it. It is soft and frizzy. So do you think I can continue to use these products, or is it harming my hair? Thanks for your help! Much appreciated

Except for the density, that's exactly where I started when I first started to lurk on nc.com! My hair was dense when I was young. Age, thyroid and a medication I take have thinned it.
Products won't "harm" your hair. You'll just continue to be overconditioned--soft and frizzy. Not sure why you'd want that???
You need to add protein in order to correct it.
I use a lot of rich products, but conteract it with protein. I do at least one PT (with a moisturizing PT) a week and use a lot of products with protein. Never have to DT.

So you do a protein treatment every week instead of doing a deep condition?

I do at least one PT a week and use a lot of products with protein. In the summer, I frequently do two. My hair has never met a protein it didn't like. When I first started lurking on nc.com, I did DT because I thought I should. Once I got to know my hair and the ingredients/products it prefers, I stopped. Don't think I've done a PT since summer of '08, if not before.
Condition of my hair is so good, that the shampoo guy at the salon won't condition (he just doesn't "get" it.)

Hmmm. I tried a protein treatment on parts of my hair that are bleached about two weeks ago and it made them worse. Could that be just because they are bleached? I'm afraid to have that reaction with the rest of my hair if I try it. Thanks again for helping me out :-)

I think it may depend on what PT you use. I use moisturizing PTs like CJ Repair Me and SS Protein Repair.
You hair sounds similar to mine--fine, low porosity, highlighted and I started out as a winter wavy/summer 3a. It was coming onto nc.com and learning how to take care of my hair that made it what it is today. Most important thing is to read and learn.
