Hello:

I need help. I'm 32, leave in New England, have 3b hair, in layers and past my shoulders. I usually wear it with a middle part, everyday, for as long as i can remember. Or I wear a bun, which I have to tie a scarf to cover; because of the layers pieces of the hair stick out. I don't know what to do with my hair anymore. I'm so bored that I even considered doing an Anne Hathaway Les Mis cut. The thing that bothers me the most is that if I wear it curly, no matter what I do to it: 1) it only lasts to second day and 2) I have to leave it in whatever style it is.

I need ideas, tips, suggestions, anything. I'm desperate.

I have tips and styles on my YouTube (despitetherandomness). Try adding braids! Also, you probably won't be able to wear exact curls the next day but you can refresh them or continue doing different styles. Some people use the pineapple method to preserve curls. Hope that helps!

First thing to do is find out your hair properties. Here's a link to help Live Curly Live Free - Curly Hair Basics That way, you can give people more information about your hair--more data, the better the help. It's also the best way to choose ingredients/products. Once you determine your properties, you can look for people with hair like yours and see what they use (in signatures.) It's a good way to start.

The foundation for great hair is a good haircut. You need to have a good shape and the right layering.

My hair past my shoulders too, and these hairstyles looks good.

To have second day hair, you can use the pinneaple method. That works for me, even for a third day hair. LOL
But not always work, or not with all the persons, so, you sometimes will need to refresh your curls.
