The captivating curls really didn't work well for me hair. LA Looks is my go to staple product. I have been searching for my HG for 3 years and I always go back to my LA Looks Sports.

I actually use both the suave captivating curls mouse and the LA looks gel for curly hair (I forget what it is called) and it works out pretty well. It works best if I blow dry my hair, bc if I don't, it gets crunchy. But if I scrunch my hair as its drying, its not too bad.

I've never tried the Suave Captivating Curls but have used LA Looks Sport gel pretty much every day for the last 8+ years. I scrunch and squeeze it onto very wet hair, plop in a turban towel, let air dry for a bit then diffuse for a few minutes.

Does anyone know if there was any truth the rumor a while back about them discontinuing LALSG? Still seems to be around for purchase.

^ I hope not! I think I might have a breakdown if they ever discontinue it. : )

How do you use the LALSG? I broke down and bought a bottle. I've tried the power spikes one a time or two with success but don't care for the scent. I love the scent of LALSG.

I apply a leave-in first, finger comb through, then the gel and finger-comb to distibute. But then I go through my hair with a wide-tooth comb to get smaller clumps, then I scrunch. I don't use the LALSG any differently than other gels (MGASG or BRHG).

I love LA Looks Sport Gel and really love the price! I am currently playing around with amounts, trying to figure out what works best on my hair.

I just use L.A Looks Sport gel but I love it!!! It can get crunchy but it is easy to scrunch out the crunch. It also comes with sooo much product and lasts a long time! No silicones or alcohol which makes it great for CG!
