Default Henna and Alma Powder

Hi Everyone,
My hair is somewhere between 3b and 3c leaning more towards 3c when dry. My hair is also thinning out from so many chemicals through the years (dyes, straighteners, etc...). I just did my first big chop and I was thinking about starting to Henna, but then found out it can loosen curls in some people. This is something I do not want as I love my tight spirally curls. I've been reading online to see what the percentage of loose curls after hennaing is and found out that if adding Amla Powder to the henna or doing amla powder after the henna may return curling patterns.

I was wondering if anyone here has had experience with amla powder during or after henna and if it really works to bring back curls.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You,
