addicted lol

I think I'm quickly becoming addicted to this forum. I love my curly hair, but I know it can be better. I'm obsessed with seeing everyone else's beautiful hair and their hair routines. I want to create a silicone and sulfate free routine for myself. Everything I own, except my sulfate free shampoo and conditioner, has them in it :-( . maybe I should put them on the swap meet site and give them away lol, some of its pretty expensive. My daughter has beautiful, curly hair too, but I'm not sure her curly type yet. It doesn't seem to be as curly as my own. One day soon I will have lovely hair to boast about too. I'm envious of all of your hair.

Don't go selling anything just yet! You can try a CG routine. Go get some inexpensive products at the drugstore. If you hair responds then great, put the rest of the stuff up on the swap board. If not, well, you'll have backup. And reading around this site you might have a better idea of how to use what you already had.

P.S. This site is ridiculously addictive.

When you first start, it's hard not to be obsessed. It does get better as you begin to know what your hair likes. Best place to start is to look for folks with similar properties and see what they use and do.

After I posted I though, "I'm going to wait a bit before I decide to get rid of my stuff, and I can always give it to my sister." Lol.

NvmbrCurlss:Lol, it is addicting

I AM SUPER OBSESSED.
There should totally be a curly girl anonymous group or something but I would never ever in a thousand years hand over my growing stash haha.
All I can say is that some people can experiment and stop but I will forever be an experimenter. I just cannot stop because I always find some new combo I love, some things are no longer available, formulas change- beieve me I'll find an excuse. People probably see our hair and assume that we just wake up like that COUGH COUGH SPITS COFFEE no way.
You will learn a lot, you'll whip up your own concoctions etc. Just remember that your hair is totally unique and to try things you love and go more towards those. It also helps to look for people that have hair similar yours or just people whose hair you like etc. I actually have a bunch of threads with posters who had awesome routines in my favorites bar because I am a weirdo like that. Have fun and ROCK them locks :headbang:

Im a little addicted too. I'm 3b and am finding oils troublesome. I'd like to give them a good try because my hair is so dry, but they do tend to make the curl less clumpy (almost frizzy), do you know what to do to rectify this?

It's VERY addicting, I agree! There's always something fun and new to try. I think I'm really close to having my perfect system, and now I'm obsessed with the perfect technique. Next I want to see if I can get different types of curls by using different techniques.
