Default My hair is in a rut!!!!

Hello gorgeous curly ladies!!

About a week ago or so ago I realized my hair wasn't getting any better (going on 3 1/2 yrs hair journey). So I looked up some ingredients. Silicons and proteins caught my eye. I looked at all my products and almost everyone had them . So my hair is on over processed of proteins and silicons. I was seeing breakage in the shower in all I could remember having hair haha. Also winter isn't helping my hair nor scalp. After getting some new products my hair has changed a bit. It stretches a bit more when it drys but while wet and dry it breaks off. Neither of the breakage is from any damage (birth control did this) as I'm assuming since I barely put heat or dye as much anymore. I am protein sensitive. Also thinning roots and falling almost a handful of hair a day isn't my forte. I never had this problem till I was 12 years old and I believe "dandruff" is the enemy of this. I've read that it can clog up the follicles in the scalp. So I'm doing everything I can since Ulta and online stores are my friends since there's no beauty supply stores here . I did order some conditioners and a deep treatment mask. Tried em all today. One is for mainly the scalp since I saw major dryness in my hair like a protein treatment would do ( it does)...after that tried the other didn't help combat my mistake lol but I did the treatment mask and it helped a bit. Anyways, what are some pointers and leave ins and conditioners that are good during the winter time. Of course no silicons and proteins lol. 20$ is the highest I would go on a product. Anyways thanks for your time and knowledge

what ive found works best for me is to keep things as natural as you can. for treatment masks make your own with what you have at home, oils are great, rinses are very cheap and just as good as when you buy somthing fancy. have a look through the all natual threads here, you might find same ideas.
to help with your dandruff i can suggest a few oils, rosemary and tea tree oil are very good for dandruff. while they are so strong you have to use a base oil. i have a scalp oil mixture that i use for myself as a growth booster. my man almost beggs me to message his scalp with it as well,, and since ive been regually doing that his bad dandruff is GONE! (he loves the feeling and smell, that his dandruff is gone is just a bonus) haha but you get the point.
rosemary oil is also very good for thinning, as i said i use it as a growth booster, and i swear that it helps.
for the dryness try coconut oil, olive oil are same cheap ones, if your willing to give out a bit more, (a bottle of oil last a very long time, you use very little at a time) aprecot oil, grapeseed oil and shea butter are also very good.
same ppl say that oils dont moistureise, or that only same oils penertrate, we all have different hair, so of cause the oils are going to act differently in our hair, the trick is to try stuff n see what works for you.
now that i almost wrote a novel i hope somthing is going to help you.
