Default How do you use your Ecostyler gel?

I was looking for a cheap gel because I am trying to finish up the products I have to start up on a new routine for summer etc. I've heard a lot about Ecostyler gels and just never got around to trying them out. I am to much of a product junkie to even be faithful to just one thing, but who knows? I went to Sally's just cause and they had this gel on sale for like $3 bucks and the sales lady reccomended I get the argan one. It's cheap, the ingredients were cg, and it doesn't test on animals yay. So basically I got a big tub of this stuff and don't know what to do with it. I've heard it can be drying so I want to keep myself well armed. Most people seem to have success with leave ins underneath and/or mixing some oil into the gel before they put it in. Any suggestions or comments? Thanks

Hi,

I actually really like the ecostyler gel. I always use a leave-in conditioner first (my hair is quite dry&porous). Some people to like to seal after ther leave-in (or indeed mix it with their leave-in) too, I'm not shure if I like sealing or not. The ecostyler gel can you just scrunch in your hair after leave-in/sealing.

It can indeed be drying because of the glycerin in it. If glycerin is drying depends on the dewpoints. You can look on the 'frizz forcast' on this site if you want to know how the dewpoints are in the moment on your location.

Thanks so much for answering etos. It really means a lot, actually I have been experimenting and I am loving the results. I just need a bit more experimenting cause dewpoints/glycerin can be confusing to figure out. I do not understand when to use glycerin and when not too- I kinda just do whatever and it usually turns out okay. All I know about dew is that in winter they are low and in summer they are high. I have used to the frizz forecast but like I said I just do not get how to use the resource even when I know the dews. So far I have always used it over a leave in and yesterday I sealed my ends and then tried it. I loved the results and its great. I am loving it. I cannot wait to experiment with more products.

The frizz forcast on this site also tells you if you better don't use glycerin that day. You can find this frizz forcast on the very 'bottem' of this side, under 'hot links'.

I can't use glycerin in low dews, but I can use it in medium dewpoints. In the summer I'll figure out if I can use glycerin also in high dews. It can depend not only on the weather but also on you... So I think you should experiment with it.
