Default Help! What's my hair type? 3B/C or 4A?

I'd really appreciate it if I got some other input rather than my own. I'm definitely a curly-headed gal, but I'm not exactly sure which category I fall under -- be it B/C . I'm thinking it's more like C with a potential 4A, but I have no idea. I'm in the process of trying to grow it out and just go super natural and wanted to get a better determination before I invest in all these products.

Hair type is relatively unimportant when selecting ingredients/products. Hair properties are what you need to know. Here's a link to help you with yours Live Curly Live Free - Curly Hair Basics Once you know your hair properties, you can look for others with hair like yours and see what they use (in signatures.) It's the best place to start.

I do agree with Kathymack that curl pattern is irrelevant when caring for your hair. But since you asked , you look to be a 3a/b mix. Your curls are loose but you seem to have root curl which many 3As don't always have.

Find out your properties so you can learn what ingredients will work best for you. Your hair looks healthy but a little undefined so you may be using the wring products or techniques or may need your hair shaped.

Thank you kathymack and multicultcurly! I didn't even know there were other properties to look at. Now that I've identified them, I finally understand why relaxers would take FOREVER to penetrate my head. I no longer am a slave to those things, but I really want to embrace the curls. I appreciate your input!
