SM Curling Souffle- main ingredient is FCG.
KCCC- Don't know the main ingredient, I think marshmallow root, don't quote me lol
DC (Deva curl)- Ultra Defining Gel (this is excellent in the summer)
There is a GF Go clean one, but I don't want to recommend that just yet until I know it's good to recommend lol

My hair likes the more natural products without the chemicals, especially polyquats. I prefer what I call jelly products--gelatinous consistency without the chemicals. There are a lot of them listed in my signature.

Default CMC gel

I am Brazilian

At this point many cached will ask, "What is that?", "What's this about CMC?". The more arrivals in the kitchen will say: "One more thing for food to pass into the hair?". Well folks, one more!

Last week I discovered (a little late already) the CMC gel. At the beginning I was a little afraid of not giving anything, but the first application I surrendered! Super loved this stuff ... it's amazing too because it defines the curls.

Let the explanations: the CMC, or carboxymethylcellulose, a powder is usually used as a thickener for food, pies, pasta and even in soups and juices bag, and other applications.

But the case is that the CMC also found as a product for hair. I got the following recipe with curly and disseminator of the idea, Wera Souza, Channel SARARA Creole on YouTube.

*

CMC gel recipe:

ingredients:

200 ml of warm water

2 teaspoons of CMC

3 tablespoons leave in (your preference)

1 tablespoon vegetable oil (can be olive oil extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil, castor oil, argan oil ... what you have available)

How to make (super easy):

Place all ingredients in a blender, whisk a little until the consistency of a cream. Place in a container that is practical for you to use in everyday life, can be a pot with lid, cream jar empty bottle with valve or pump or even a spray bottle. Always keep the product in the refrigerator, with an expiration date undetermined.

Apply on the hair alone or as a finisher after you leave in or oil. Can let air dry or dry with a diffuser. You will notice that your hair is well Durinho, but after you dry gives a "broken" in bunches, squeezing the ends to roots and're ready! The definition lasts much!

I have 3b/c very thick hair. I have YET to find a gel that doesn't dry out my hair & that will keep my curls after day 1. However, my hair loves Jane carter curl defining cream & leave in.

I use the Garnier Fructis Pure Clean Gel. It gives me great hold and doesn't flake or dry out my curls. I really want to try the SM Curling Soufflé, though.

Hi Curly Sara,

you can buy cmc in stores which sell cake and/or ice cream decorating supplies.

Default Similar hair type

I have 3b normal to low porosity hair and I swear by Kinky Curly Curling Custard (KCCC) after using a leave-in conditioner in the shower. It has GREAT hold and I can get second day (and even sometimes third day hair) by using the pineapple method and a silk pillowcase at night good luck!
