It looks like you have 4a from that angle, it is possible that you have a 3c/4a combo.

I've been told I'm 3c (and more lol) so I'll attach a pic of my curls so you can see if yours curls look the same way.

Looks like healthy and beautiful 4a hair to me. Perhaps a little 3c mixed in.

Based on all the people I know, plus the pics posted in these forums, if you have to wet your hair down to get a better idea of the curl pattern, it's probably in the 4 range.

I think you are a 3c, which really is the other white meat ie you're definitely not a 3b but it doesn't quite look like a 4a. I think if you used a moisturizer and a true curl product (gel or pudding), it would be more apparent. Also, you might have some 4a in there too. I also, think that 3c is a little different than other hair types in that the pattern might not be apparent until you add a moisturizer.
