Frizz lovers?

So I went natural about a year and a half ago and my hair grows like a weed, so I have hair now past my shoulders, relaxer free. I guess it's 3b/3c.

Different products have different effects. I find some give me that sleek, defined look, but takes out a lot of the volume I like. When there is a little frizz, my hair gets great fullness and volume.

I see on these boards that most people have a mission of attaining this textbook perfect frizz free curls and to me, it just seems really exhausting (I guess I am just lazy). Are there any people here who like a little frizz in their hair? Am I crazy for feeling this way? Are people giving me the side eye unbeknownst to me, like "girl, get some gel in your hair!" I like a little poof and frizz, I think my hair looks boring without it.

Note: I think people with perfect frizz free hair look fab, I just think I like my hair a little crazy and large and I am wondering who else out there feels the same way about their frizz? Below are some pics with various degrees of poof and frizz.

A lot of people do I believe, go on YouTube and search ShamlessMaya . She has a song dedicated to frizz called Frizzy Hair

I think your hair looks beautiful in all three photographs! The reason *some* of us try to avoid frizz is we have a weak curl pattern, mine often looks just like I have dry straight hair but stuck my finger in a light socket when I comb it through. Very occasionally a little like Diana Ross in the Chain Reaction video (LOVE it when it does that). I can still see the spirals in yours and it has a lovely round shape.

You have gorgeous hair and I'm so jealous! I like my frizz because I like big hair and a bit of frizz adds volume. As I get older my hair gets thinner and less curly so anything to add some 'big hair' is fine by me!

KiraS- A song? Now that's love I'll have to check a song out!

Firefox- Thank you! I do know what you mean, it's hard to tell in these photos, but the back of my head has coarse wavy hair. Over time it looses it's shape and as you mentioned just becomes frizz. That's where the majority of my frizz occurs after the 2-3rd day post wash. Mine won't get straight, but it will look like I brushed out my hair. I totally understand the need for some people to "encourage their curls and get that frizz free separation!" Sometimes, I am just like screw it, frizz it is

I do like the 'picture perfect' curls because if I have too much frizz ill loose my curls. But don't mind a little frizz. Not too sure I'm comfortable with the world seeing my Einstein look in the morning.
Your hair is freaking gorgeous! If my hair has a lot of volume, I don't mind a little frizz. If it doesn't have any volume and has frizz then I am mad- LOL.

Sometimes I get carried away and manipulate him too much. He tells me he's fine on his own but I never listen. I wash him less now and all in all we're happy.

I don't mind some frizz because with the wind here it's inevitable, and I think it looks all right as long as my curls are formed enough. I don't like it so much if my hair's gone flat and the curls aren't as defined. Then it just looks messy instead of the frizz being kind of integrated into the curls, if that makes sense.
3a/b, F, normal porosity

Wash with either Suave Tropical Coconut, As I Am, or CJ Daily Fix
Condition with STC or Yes to Blueberries and detangle with Denman, rinse very lightly (baptismal rinse)
Add LAL gel, either Sport or Wet Look, scrunch with flour sack towel, and plop
Diffuse 5 minutes, then air dry

Hi, first off, I love your curls! The only time I don't want a little frizz if for professional occasions like a job interview or such. Otherwise, I like a small amt of frizz to add a bit of volume!

The other day I spent all day annoyed with my hair for being so big, wild, and frizzy. It had tried ramen noodle style and after I crunched it the curls & waves were all over the place. I walked in the door from work and my husband exclaimed, "WOW! I love your hair!".

He loves the big & wild look. I like it a little more in moderation, but I definitely like it a little wild looking.
