pLEASE! How to get my shower hair? HELP FAST!

My hair looks best when it's wet. When it starts to dry, it gets frizzy and starts to expand outwards (I figured out that my hair separates my waves in thin sections which results to many of them and makes my hair look wider and thicker).

Apparently, I have to look for gels that elongate curls and weigh them down. Any gels to do that (CHEAP)?

I have coarse hair, long hair, high density, porous hair. Frizzy easily, 2c, some 3a hair (not sure).

Will LA Looks gels work for this? I really want to get it because it's cheap!

I was suggested to get LA Sports gel.. or LA Wet looks gel.... I don't know.
Confused, frustrated, and really hating my hair because of this! I want to be with those girls at school and put my stupid hair down!
My dad also gets mad at me for my hair being up since 1st grade. He hates me and my hair! TT_TT Everyone keeps telling me to put my hair down too! But I hate the volume/ thickness of it!

Sorry for my rant. Thanks.
I'd try the la gels. Their inexpensive enough. I'd try it on sopping wet hair over a good leave in. And don't touch after.

I've used LA sports gel in the past and it works wonderfully at keeping the curls contained!
It could also be your hair cut. Next time you visit a salon try asking the stylist for longer layers. That will help the volume and east to west effect.
Try looking waterlily716 up on youtube. She has tons of product recommendations for all sorts of budgets and lots of hair how tos

I use both the la looks sport gel & Softee olive oil conditioning gel. I use both because the back of my head from the ear to nape region is so soft & even with just one that doesn't work. But together, they give me great hold & are both cheap. The la looks is $2.34 & the Softee gel is $1.99.
They both control frizz very well. Even alone, they give great hold.
