Nonflakey paraben free hard hold geln CG friendly

I have very dark hair that tends to flake with hard hold gels. LA looks sport flakes on me but the nutra curl doesn't if I mix it with a little oil. I like the hold if the sports version when I sotc but the flakes! They also contain parabens.

So I'm looking for a CG friendly gel, hard hold.

I make fsg and have decent results with i lt layered with other products. My hair is med to high porosity, coarse, and thick.

I heard something about curl keeper? Haven't seen it anywhere though. Ive also heard people like biosilk.
I love layering SM coconut and hibiscus milk with garnier fructis pure clean gel I do small amount of each. I use SM first, work it in, then smooth pure clean gel into my hair. I use about a nickel size amount of each for half of my hair. I finger twist and then my hair turns out soft because of the SM and defined because of the gel. And I have absolutely no film or residue or any flakes! Just make sure to not use too much because that possibly could cause some build up. Hope this helps!
Love my auburn 3b/3c curls!! Favorite products are Treseme Naturals conditioner and DevaCare ArcAngel(<---miracle for definition!) I really just want to GROW MY HAIR OUT!! It's not really working...
I saw that fructise gel at the store the other day but omg it smelled like citonella! (Gag). I guess it would be good for repelling mosquitos? Lol.

Does the smell dissipate? I don't want to smell like citonella. When I use the coconut and hibiscus products people love the smell. Also the "curls" brand stuff(curl goddess I think?) was amazing smelling but didn't really moisturize very well or have much hold.

I currently have the coconut and hibiscus milk and Ive used the curl enchanting smoothie previously. The smoothie was good for frizz control and moisture but very producty that's why I switched to the milk.
If you don't mind ordering online, Max Green Alchemy Sculpting Gel has been HG for me for a few years. It's pricey, but worth it, and I stock up when I get a code for it.

Oh and also gel needs to have antihumectant properties. I'm still not quit sure which cg friendly ingredients are antihumectant.

Also if it helps, i can prevent LA looks sport from flaking by emulsifying with coconut oil.
I picked up some DEP sports to try today, I thought it didn't have parabens but it has methylparaben in it. I will use it anyways but still searching for an alternative.
Also I can't use lavender, it triggers my asthma
I really like Herbal Essences Set Me Up Gel. I've been using it all summer-works great!
I'm going to go ahead and say 3a

Not CG friendly it has a "xane" and "amine" which I believe are both silicones in disguise. Not to mention the second ingredient is alcohol denat, that would dry my hair horribly.
Are you sure you've got the right gel? I know HE has a couple. That is not the ingredient list on my tube.

That came from a website, walgreens I think. Can you list your ingredients?
I just realized the DEP is made by the same people as LA looks sport! Haha. So its very similar.
I just searched it on this site. It has the same ingredient list as on my tube.
