Default I need help with products!

Hi everyone! I have 3b/c curls, they're just a bit curlier than b but less than c lol . I'm getting a devachan at the end of the school year, but I need to tame my hair until then.

I'm having trouble figuring out what works for my hair. I've been doing the CG method for about half a year, but I'm still having trouble with frizz. My hair will keep its shape, but there's a halo of fizzles around all of it. So far I've been through dozens of leave ins and I'm trying to keep away from mousses and gels because they both make my really thin hair feel crunchy.

What do you all do to keep frizz away, and what products would you recommend? Thanks in advance!

The best way to choose ingredients/products is by hair properties. Here's a link to help you with yours Curly Hair Basics | Live Curly Live Free Once you determine your properties, look for others with hair like yours and see what they use. It's the best place to start.

Other factors to take into consideration are your weather and technique.

Gel doesn't have to be crunchy. My hair doesn't care for chemicals, especially polyquats. I stay away from gels and use what I call jelly products--gelatinous consistency without the chemicals. If you use a leave in/curl enhancer underneath, they don't dry really hard. Once your hair is completely dry, you can gently scrunch out the crunch (SOTC.)
