Best Shea Moisture Shampoo?

I'm trying to decide which I will buy. I currently use the curl and style milk and curl enhancing smoothie, but wondering if you all like any of the shampoos?

My priority right now is to reduce breakage and promote stronger hair!

Just at BSL (when stretched) goal is HL, 3a/b, medium thickness, medium porosity

Clarify: Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Shampoo
Styling: Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie and Curl Milk, Extra Virgin Coconut Oil

I personally liked the Coconut & Hibiscus 100x better than the Moisture Retention. Haven't tried the Yucca, and the Tahitian Noni & Monoi smells amazing but made my hair super limp (it says it has "straightening" ingredients in it).
BotticelliBrit likes this.
2c-3a - coarse - normal-high porosity - high density - growing out to donate

NP/LP: KMF Whenever Cond./ YTCucs, Giovanni TTTT
RO/LI: Sevi Pumpkin Seed DC / CJ Argan & Olive Oil, KCKT, YTBbs
DT: Coconut Oil + scalp massage
OIL/STYLER: SM Elixir / KCCC, SS CEJ
COLOR: henna, amla & indigo
If you want to strenghten your hair, prote´n is probably the way to go. In the coconut& hibiscus line is prote´n, even so in the Yucca&Baobab. As far as I know, there is no prote´n in the Moisture Retention one. I only tried the c&b one, and liked it a lot.

According your signature you have medium thickness, but I think according your picture you have fine strands. Your hair looks very much like mine. Fine hair needs in general more prote´n than coarser hair (exceptions there of course).

If your hair is breaking really easily, you could possibly try to use the co-wash method together with washing with low-poo. For example, once a week low-poo wash and twice a week co-washing. This is a little bit more gentle for your hair than washing always with (low-)poo.

Why do you think you have breakage?

edit: the two products you are already using from the SM C&H line have prote´n in it
highlighted 3a hair. Fine strands, medium to high density. Probably high porosity. Growing uit bad layering and aiming for waist lenght!

Pre-poo: coconut oil
wash: CJ Daily fix or SheaMoisture Coconut&Hibiscus
RO + LI: different every time

I've only ever tried the Coconut & Hibiscus shampoo from SM, but I love it. It's my go-to shampoo and I use it basically every time I wash my hair.

It's REALLY moisturising, but also really cleansing, so it's the best of both worlds. Also, it contains protein which is great for strengthening hair.

Like I said, I haven't tried any of the others, so I can't really say whether they're good or bad. But it seems, from what I've read on these boards, that people have quite mixed results with the Moisture Retention shampoo and, overall, the Coconut & Hibiscus comes out on top.

That's just my two cents though
