My curly hair won't stay

I have recently started using non-sulfate shampoo, conditioner and styling products to wash and style my hair. My hair stays curly the first day but then it just loses its shape the next day.

My hair is most likely 3A. My hair is thick but sort of thinned out at the front, so it also causes problems on how to style my hair in order to leave it open.

Can anyone guide me on how to style my hair and what products I should use?

Thanks!
Are you doing something to protect your hair while you sleep, like using a satin pillowcase or pineappling? Also, do you refresh your hair the next day?
CG since May 1, 2016
3a (at the moment), fine, thin, highly porous, no elasticity (bleach and heat damage)
most luck so far with KCKT and KCCC with a little jojoba oil to SOTC *tried diffusing! wow!*
added CK for high humidity
SM Weightless Texture Spray for refreshing
gelatin PT 2x per week, DT 3x per week

What's your product list and routine?
How long is your hair? How coarse or fine are the strands? How dense is your hair? Do you find it's dry, oily, or in-between? How long is it?

Thanks ~! This info is really helpful in figuring out what the issue might be.

You and me both. When I sleep on my hair for an extended period or pineapple it...my hair gets super bent out of shape, flattened, overly stretched, and doesn't revert. So I have to take a spray bottle and dampen it, then voila...back to normal. I never use protein, so I wonder if that's the culprit. My hair's protein/moisture balance may be out of whack. I've started using a DIY protein hair masque by SunKissAlba and I'm curious to see if that changes things up over time. I'd buy one over the counter, but I don't want to risk it being too strong on my hair being that it's virgin.
