Default using Awe Inspiralling on 2nd day hair

i bought awe inpiralling a few weeks ago and so far have only tried it a couple of times to try and revive my 2nd day hair (this was pretty much the main reason i ordered it). i haven't had time to experiment and ended up getting frustrated, wetting down my hair and starting over.

so i was wondering does anyone use it on 2nd day hair....and more importantly HOW do you use it? do you wet your hair with water at all? do you apply it before or after any other product? what kind of results do you get?

TIA!

I will sometimes spray it in upside down and scrunch a tiny bit of gel over it to revive curls.

Also to smooth out frizz I'll spray a little bit into my hands, take a dab of Boots and smooth them together over my canopy.

This is a quote from 1228kimberly that I thought sounded like an awesome idea!

Also, I have been keeping a small piece of microfiber towel in my purse to scrunch my hair with after applying Awe Inspiralling mid day. My hair is a lot less frizzy than when I used my hands!

i do the "plink method" - pretty much how kimmy does - after sleeping in a pineapple and taking it out in the morning, wet hands and rub a little bit of boots between them, smooth over hair like making a ponytail, flip and repeat, then spray awe inspiraling all over and scrunch upside down. works great for me! i've also tried it with recoil, ORS lock&twist, and CCSS instead of the boots - all worked decently.

Im still experimenting with Awe spray too.
I find I have to use a lot & my hair is ok for a while but is still going pouffy after a couple of hours. I have only used it on dry hair though.

I mist my hair with water until it's fairly damp, then plop in a towel for five minutes, then spray on my own version of awe. Sometimes it works, but I do have 2nd-day issues.

After my last post on this subject yesterday I decided to try Awe spray again but with 1 slight difference I didn't comb my hair first!
I know we curlies are not supposed to comb but my hair is sooo tangly & messy looking if I dont.
Anyway hair was much less pouffy & frizzy & held out for the day, it did look messy but I was having a casual kind of day off work so didn't mind. I managed to loosen it slightly by shaking with my fingers. It dropped a bit later in the day & looked pretty OK!
Today (3rd day hair) I was back to work so I usually put my hair up.
The only trouble was there is no chance of getting a comb through it now to put in a pony, so twisted sections into little claw grips, looked ok actually.
It just feels weird that I havent combed my hair for 2 days. It will have to wait till tomorrow now for a co-wash & comb.
At least I think Ive found the knack of 2nd day messy hair!

babypie, any more luck with the Awe yet? When I first tried it, I didn't like it the first few times and actually tried to swap it away. But then I found the perfect use for it when I read the suggestion for combining it with Boots or Recoil for second day hair. Then I finally got it to work for me! And 4 bottles later I'm still liking it. I tend to use alot of it, but I do have to be careful not to use too much or it can get a little poofy.

This is EXACTLY how I use it, too, although I've only tried it with Boots & ORS. The combo of the 2 products makes my hair curlier than the first day

Another hint is: be careful of using too much awe. Per jessicurl's instructions, a little goes a long way. I find a spritz and then flipping hair upside down and giving it a shake at the roots with my hands, starts my waves up again.

Yikes, skywatcher, NO - not both Boots & ORS together - I meant EITHER Boots & Awe or ORS & Awe!! I'm so sorry for the confusion

I haven't been able to get the AIS to work for me yet, either. the GS works so gosh-darn well that it's hard to force myself to work to get something else to do it!

Can actually watch my hair contracting and curling after spraying with Awe. It will also promote a little canopy frizz without a cream used along with it. I can use the Awe under or over or mixed with the cream( Boots, ORS T&L). HTH
