Default Boots in summer...advise on how to use/which one to get

Hi, it seems like a lot of 3A's are still happily using boots.
are you using it more for finishing and or 2nd day hair rather than as your primary styling product?
how do you use it
I know there have been countless email threads about the old vs new version, shld I try to get this from the swap board or can I get the "right" one from NC.COM ?

I use it for 2nd day hair. It just doesn't have enough hold to work as my primary styling product.
Here's how I use it:
put hair in pineapple before bed - take out in AM- put tiny blob of boots in palm, spray with abba curl activating tonic, and mix together - smooth over canopy - flip hair upside down - scrunch in more boots/curl tonic mix

I haven't tried the new formula, but the old one is great!

The more products I try, the more I love Boots. 2nd, 3rd, 4th day hair. CG friendly, washes out completely with CO washes, moisturizing, and dependable.

Lately(back to using Boots in wet hair again) I've been putting some in over my leave in and under my gel. You would think all that would weigh me down but amazingly it helps me curl.

Then I use it everyday to restyle. Lots of Boots in my hair.

To use it on dry hair, I think the key is to rub a small amount(I use three fingertips) between wet hands and SMOOTH onto hair. Upside-down and right-side up. Then scrunch. I don't know how you could ever distibute it just by scrunching. Smoothing is important.

The old is the only one I've tried but everyone says the differences between old and new are negligable. HTH

I use both the old (pink) and the new (white) as primary styling product. It's pretty thick so I comb it through in order to distribute it well, plop for 10 minutes and then air dry.

There is not much difference between the two. The pink comes in a larger jar. The white has a better fragrance and the tube is more convenient. And I think the white is a bit less sticky.
