Sorry, there's only one so far, my boyfriend has the camera. Let me know if the link does not work.

Yay! Thanks for sharing! You have very pretty hair.
I think it would be a good idea to post this on the general discussion board too, since I'm sure there's more than just 3b's that would like to see your hair.

Hey there! I think that your hair is super cute in your picture It looks like a pretty big curl to me, definitely 3B. A picture of your hair when fully dry would be helpful. Also, close up shots work best with dark hair such as ours....

Thank you curltopia!
I was able to add another picture, closer up with my hair dry from the same day! I won't be able to add any more until I have use of a camera in a month, unless I find more saved on this computer somewhere (my boyfriend went with his dad to Africa, with the camera, and won't be back for 5 weeks).

Beautiful hair with perfectly defined curls! What is your hair routine? What products do you use?

Finally...someone with similar hair to mine. Your hair is very pretty. I dont like my hair when its wet...but when it dries, I have lots of curly curls, especially underneath.

Thank you! I FEEL so much better about my hair and having curly hair in general since I found NC a few weeks ago.
I try to keep it simple. In general, I wash with CON every few days, and every two to three months I use a stronger shampoo. I haven't combed or brushed for many years. I almost always air-dry, even though it stays wet so long! I detangle in the shower with fingers while the CON is in my hair. Then out of the shower, I blot it a little with a microfiber towel and add lots of conditioner. Before finding NC, I stopped there and didn't use any other products. The only problem with that is on humid days, my hair would get really big. I like it ok that way, but I don't always want big hair. So that brings me up to the present...
On the day those photos were taken, I did the CON, then distributed One Condition into my hair using my fingers. Then I put Biolage Gellee into my hair and just pulled it down. There was enough of the products in there that my hair temporarily looked straight (the curls always end up bouncing back; I don't relate to 'looking for curls'. They always find me!). I sectioned it into 3 sections and used 3 cheap metal hair clips to pin the 3 sections to the top of my head. I don't twist the sections or make little buns, I just place the clip about 2 inches from the ends and clip them to the hair on my crown. I think when I pin it up, the curls come out bouncier looking. Then I put a microfiber turban on for about 10 minutes, and left the clips in for about another 10 minutes. Then I just left the house with it wet and tried not to touch it. I didn't really know how it would come out! It was only my 2nd time doing the turban/plopping thing. The first time I tried it, I guess I left it in too long becuase the ends looked frizzy and scraggly. Also if I plop without clipping, my hair seems to get stringy and frizzy. Are you very experienced with plopping??? Any tips on that? Do you have pictures somewhere?
I experiemented today and didn't clip or plop. I had defined waves for a while, but it turned to frizz. Next I'm going to try clipping but not plopping. I want less steps!!!
The other products I like are Alba leave-in conditioner and John Masters Organics Citrus and Neroli Detnagler.

Thank you CJC. Do you have photos? How do you do your hair?
I love my underneath curls usually more than the rest of my hair. I wonder if they always come out the best becuase they are less exposed to the air, wind, my fingers?
Do you diffuse your hair sometimes? I really don't like to. My curls end up looking really tiny and stringy, but as a whole my hair looks big. Not a pretty combination, on me. Problem is, now that I use gel, my hair stays wet even longer than when I only used conditioner! I wish I had one of those heat lamp things that they have at salons.

Urbancurl....Sorry I dont have any pics...no camera
I never diffuse..always let it air dry. I mostly CO wash my hair, rinse, put leave in condish and put alot of gel in my hair. I plop once in a while..sometimes over night......but my hair is never consistant.
Right now I'm using Volumax gel but want to try Aura. I also want to try Elusense cond. When I'm having a bad hair day ...I just braid it or put it up in a bun.

*Sigh* You have pretty curls urbancurl, I wish I was a "true" 3B ( I lean more towards 3c). To me that is the best curl type IMO...not too curly but not too loose either. It's a lot easier to straighten too on days you feel like wearing a different style (at least it appears that way). My boyfriend has 3b curls, and they are so cute. You can run a brush through it and make it into 3a or 2-type waves without it looking poofy. I told him he was a 3b and he said "3B?!!"

Morena, thank you for the compliment! However, I can't run a brush through my hair and make it into a 3a-- I wish! Maybe your boyfriend is closer to a 3A if he can do that, or I'm closer to a 3C. It's funny, how we so often are not happy with what we have. Like I secretly (well not so secretly!) sometimes wish I had 3a hair, because it seems to have a natural shine and big shiny curlsand isn't so affected by humidity. But maybe I wish I had that because that's what I SEE more, that's what "they're" showing more, in movies and magazines and commercials and people walking down the street, so that's what I think of as "normal". But looking at pictures of other 3b,c, 4, etc. hair makes me feel less like I wish I had completely different hair because I can look at other people who have hair similar to mine and think that it looks fantastic. Now I order you to look at some 3c+ hair! Just kidding!

UrbanCurl,
I love your hair pictures! Your texture is lovely.
Morena,
I see in your signature line that you hate your hair lately. I wanted to tell you that I totally understand because I hate my hair lately, too. I thought I had it all figured out but then the weather changed! Ugh!

I swear it's this California weather, lol! Either that or I'm over-doing it with the hair products all at once. I haven't been DT'ing in a while so maybe that could be it too...

I just realized that I had never viewed your pics. And I normally make it a habit to look at everyone's gorgeous locks.
Beautiful.
