Default Next Product Junkie purchase: AG recoil or B&A gel?

I am looking to buy either AG recoil or B&A gel with the goal of curl enhancement. On humid days I don't need the help, but on dry days I need help especially at the crown.

Any recommendations or suggestions? I usually use No Poo every 10- days, One Condition, and Angell alternating with Jessicurl RR and CCSS. I airdry or plop for 15 minutes and then air dry. When I try to diffuse I end up with wet hair in back and frizz on top.

Thanks!

I've never tried AG: Recoil but I loooove the B&A gel! I like it now and I was loving it in the winter too. Because you say "on dry days" I'm wondering if people will vote for the cream but I still say get the B&A gel!!

b & a is great, but i don't notice my hair being THAT much curlier than when i use angell. i think re:coil is more curl enhancing, and as a bonus is very moisturizing if you're wanting to use it on dry days.

I don't know what to say about re:coil I have tried it to the extent that the tube is over half gone & I still can't get the hang of that one!! I can't seem to get it distributed through my hair at all. It is supposed to be curl enhancing, but nothing I have used so far that makes that claim has actually made my hair curlier.

I absolutely love B&A Gel, it is my all time favorite gel. But as I said above, nothing seems to make my hair curlier. But the B&A gel gives me nice, soft, chunky, well formed curls that I just love.

I use and like both. B&A is more curl enhancing, I think. It's pretty lightweight in my hair, so the hair has a lot of bounce. I can't use it daily, though, because my hair is sensitive to proteins.

I've been using creams a lot since the weather warmed up, and Re:coil is probably my favorite along with Boots. It has more hold than Boots. You have to be careful not to use too much, and it's a thick product, so it's hard to distribute well. I like its moisturizing effect.

Skywatcher, I had the same problem with Re:coil. I never got consistent results because I never got it into my hair properly. My solution is to comb it through with a wide-toothed comb, then scrunch the curl back in. That works perfectly for me. I thought it would pull out the curl, but it doesn't.

Thanks suzen, I will try that next time. I have also noticed that some curlies uses it on second day hair, I think I am going to try that tomorrow.

In true product junkie fashion I may buy both and try them out! I really love Angell, so I really don't need another gel or cream, but I think it works better for me on the humid days than on the less humid. And I still want to try Elucence MBC . . .

CurlMart here I come!

Itsjustmeghan - I am picturing you cheering for B&A with pompoms made of red curly 90s hair like on the website!

I took the CurlMart-product-junkie-plunge today I ordered both B&A gel, Recoil and Elucence MBC. My credit card is still smoking!

Thanks for your advice and suggestions!

Ok so I tested the tried-and-true Elucence and B&A combination yesterday. I had great shiny, bouncy curls with almost no crunchiness! am going to try this combo again today, this will be the real test because it is not humid in NY today. If it works as well I may have an HG combination!
