Rachel's hair is not texturized but I believe Tracee's is. Her hair looks different in the earlier seasons of her show. These pictures make me feel a lot better ( and sad but hopeful ) especially when I wear my curls to work even though I'm in the corporate world and not in the entertainment business. If my hair didnít get so dry and tangled on the ends at the end of the day I wear my hair out more often. Any daily routines welcomed.

The first is a weave, and the second is [probably] the result of a braid out. She has some extra pieces in her hair in that pic as well, but her natural hair isn't that far from what is pictured.

Natakue your hair is gorgeous, and I like the way you explain how u achieved certain styles.

Aren't those pictures of Beyonce a curly weaves??? The root texture and color especially on the pic DIjah_xoxo posted looks fake. I guess curly weaves count as natural hair too ...or does it????? smh

I know this is an old thread but I come back to it on occassion to look at the pictures for inspiration and ideas. I decided l ong ago to hold my tounge when I see comment that are glactically stupid but the great quote above rings so true that I had to speak out in agreement of it.

It is so annoying that certain ppl assume nice 3B/C curls mean that a person is mixed. What a ridiculous statement.

I was on an entertainment board last night where the BET awards were being discussed and someone commented that Corbin Bleu had a typical "Mixed person" hair style. What an ignorant statement.

Anyway kudos to you Okaya for your statement. And to expand on it a bit I just want to add that the pp l here that always assume that African
Americans with beautifully defined curls just MUST have a texturizer need to check themselves as well.

My nickel. Thanks for reading.

Yah I know what you mean that people shouldn`t assume that only mixed people have hair like that.I never heard of this person before.I just check his site and I love how he sings. He`s so hot!!.The guy is mixed Italian/Jamaican.Maybe they made that comment because they know that he is mixed. He looks mixed too.Its common to meet people who are mixed with that hair typing.

This is interesting. I happen to be mixed (AA and south asian 50/50)...but I am fairly dark, think Kelly Rowland or Gabrielle Union dark. People ask me if I have a weave all the time (really pisses me off). One of my friends told me that people ask that because they are used to light people with "good" hair (hate that, want to kill that term). So, do you have to be light so people will assume that you are mixed? I dunno, just throwing that out there. And there are people who are not mixed and who are not of african decent who have really thick hair. Stereotypes are terrible all the way around.

I know how you feel.I don`t know why some people think that someone has to be light to be mixed .There are different mixes out there so I don`t know why people usually judge the person`s skin colour. Some people would look at the person`s features too see if they are mixed .Before I became natural some people thought I had a weave because my hair was long. The people who thought you had a weave could of been jealous of you.

Isn't she a 3b, not 3c? She's the closest I've seen in a long time to my curl pattern, and I'm pretty sure I'm 3b. Though if you guys want 3b pics in here, that's fine with me!!!

Oh my gosh. I don't know what that Andrea is but she has great curly hair!
BTW I think Corbin Bleu's hair is sweet too. But he said on his blog that he was using all Dove products. When I checked them in the store I saw that they had cones so I didn't bother. to try them out I've been on CG for about 5 years now and won't be turning back.

Cheers

Kandyse McClure, actor. She really only has pictures with her with straight hair, blech.

Emanuela de Paula, model.

-sighs- She's another straightening junkie (Well, her agency is making her out to be one XD), but she's naturally a 3c/4a mix.
