Default stuuuuuuuuuuuuuuupid people gosh

i am really mad at what i just read at another forum. this forum is for teens and stuff and this girl was asking how to handle her hair cause she said she has black people hair. so i said she should come here and look at the boards for 3c 4a and 4b hair cause of how she decribes her hair and i was so mad at some of the responses she got here are just some.

HAHA sucks for you!!!!!!!! i would hate to have "black girl hair" it looks so ugly and it feels weird. and you cant do anything with it. why dont you just get a weave or a wig or something

try washing it for once... lol

What kind of shampoo do black people use?

i was like how dense are these people i mean even before i came to this board i knew alot about black hair care and that we do wash our hair and take care of it. i can understand if they are white or another culture that doesnt see or handle hair that is 3b and up but still they must have walked by a black hair care aisle and saw a bunch of products. goodness i am just fuming right now lol i should stopp before i go over the edge lol

Ewww, how awful! That kind of ignorance is difficult to be around. When I was a teenager, (before there were websites like this!) in magazines there was so much stuff that could make you feel ashamed of who you are and the way you look-- it wasn't just about straight hair, but there were even articles about how to make your nose look smaller, your lips look smaller, (always using Black models), how to get rid of freckles. In Teen and Seventeen. I try to seek out the positive when I see something offensive like that, just like you're doing by posting on this board.

That is so, so horrible.

I am so glad not to be a teenager anymore, Lord have mercy.

Anyway, can you give the full website? I will definitely chime in there with some correction.

Some people's kids have no respect. I couldn't tell if the board was moderated or not. If it is they are doing a poor job of it.

I"m white and was born with 3C hair. Even here on this site I was ridiculed and some woman turned it into a racist event years ago. She was black and in her mind no white person could possibly have 3C hair. It's best not to let those that are ignorant get to you.

I hope she comes and takes a peek over here. There's a wealth of information for her.

I took a peek at teenspot and the seems to be little or no moderation don't go back there. It's full of bullies and ignorant people.

Here take a peek: http://www.teenspot.com/boards/showthread.html?t=173497
