Default i sinned.-UPDATES

yesterday i went to my favourite hairdresser to help me to style my hair..
since im still transitioning.. my hair isnt that long, its prolly touches my shoulder. she gave a me wonderful french twist.. it looked really awesome. but the process was really sad.. she combed!! and combed with alot of mousse to gather my hair then made the twist.
i feel as if i have really screwed my hair up. today i came to work with a bun.. im worried if im really damaging my hair.

Well, I think it's fine not to wash every day. Do you shampoo every time you wash? I have found that shampooing every time or with sulfates can be drying and produce frizz, for me. What exactly is your routine for your hair? With more specifics, we can help you better.

Have you tried a DT? I just use my normal conditioner and add some honey and coconut or jojoba oil, add it to wet hair, and let it sit for 2 hours. I *try* to do this once a week, because it is sooo good for my hair!

curly princess: im definately gonna try that DT. havent really been DT-ing cause i was always afraid that i'm gonna over-condition it.. and get it all limpy.

anyway my routine is darn simple!! i condition.. i wash it upside down.
plop with umberto gianini scrunching jelly or Boots curl cream. after removing the plop , spray some curl spray from loreal or scrunch it with PM-SS or the scrunching jelly.. diffuse upside down for about 10 minutes.
i don't really need to diffuse for very long cause when i remove my plop .. my hair is pretty dry and asia is hot!

give me some tips. you guys are the best

Oddisy-

You might get less frizz by air drying, which sounds do-able for you with Asia's heat and humidity... I like Ouidad Tress F/X a lot for frizz when I see it... Also, using the right conditioners and leave-in eliminates frizz, and then I use a good medium to strong hold gel to retain that moisturized frizz-free look. Feel free to check out my fotki products album for my recommendations. My hair album also shows my results with different product applications, and I give the amounts that I use sometimes... I do realize that our hair is probably different, but I can't tell for sure without pictures Another tip is to find another NC curly with hair like yours and stalk her for her routines and product recommendations

Oddisy-

Your hair is super pretty !!! I think it looks great, and you are a cutie to boot!

I didn't see much frizz in your pictures, but then, most of us do try to post the good hair day pics If you feel like ordering from curlmart, you might really like the Jessicurl and Devacurl products. I have an indian friend with 3a/2c hair (which is very beautiful) and I turned her on to Jessicurl's Too Shea conditioner and Weekly Deep Treatment... She loves these products as much as I do, even though our hair is different!

Thanks so much for sharing pictures! Also, you might want to consider editing your original post to change the title to reflect the fact that you have pictures and are seeking general hair advice or tips on how to prevent or cut down on frizz... Just a thought.... I do think that your original title is very catchy

thanx curltopia...
i tend to have halo frizz.. and sometimes after mid day.. i dont see much cul formation in my hair.. its very dry.. maybe its the umberto gel..it has drying alcohol. thanks for the comment..
as for the products u have listed.. i would love to use it.. but they don't ship it to ASIA.. and i cant get it here.
the ones i can get are the popular ones like
paul mitchell , fudge , TIGI... and a few more.
i got boots and umberto during my trip to London.

Oh, NO, NO, NO... You've got to ditch that Umberto gel immediately!!!! Drying alcohols can really fry curly hair - no wonder you are getting halo frizz..

PM Tea Tree scalp treatment and conditioner is excellent. TIGI makes some great conditioners, but I would stay away from Curls Rock... I'm not sure what else to recommend based on your location in Asia, but maybe others will have more ideas

i decided not to bun my hair...
as soon as i finished my work.. i went back and washed my hair with tons of neutrogena condish. it was super soft!! and i didnt suffer from limp hair.
then i styled like normal... the curls were nice. alright.

today.. i washed my hair.. applied some indian hair cream for shine.. i assumed it should help me with frizz. i plopped. then sprayed the loreal curl spritz and diffused.
i had chunky curls

beautiful.
