Default I need help!!!

I cannot handle my curly hair. When it is blowdried straight it is pretty long, but when it is curly, it is huge and stands all over my head. I always have to put it up. I would love to wear my hair curly without always having it up in a ponytail. This is my routine:

On the days I do not shampoo, I rinse and put in Biolage Conditioning balm. I comb in the conditioner and rinse. I then split my hair into sections and apply Aveda Universal styling creme, brush it in, and then apply Biolage Gelee. My hair looks fine until it starts to dry and then it gets bigger and bigger. My curls look okay, I would just rather they didn't get so big. Any tips?

Maybe you shouldn't brush your styling creme; that may not work for everyone.

Oh it looks like your hair is very similar to mine. Very beautiful hair, straightened or not, by the way. Okay, well, I've used that biolage gel before, and it gives me the same effect. I suggest that you use Paul Mitchell Sculpting Gel and Biosilk. Comb your hair through (when wet) Apply a half-dollar sized amount of biosilk to it and comb it through once more to apply it evenly to your hair. Then put a quarter-sized amount of Paul Mitchell all over your hair, comb that through, and pull your hair into a ponytail or whatever you wanna do, sculpt it with your fingers though. Some hairspray (non-alcohol kind of course) will help, but yeah, if you prefer not to that's fine too. Paul Mitchell is NOT just for "Caucasian" hair, it works fine on our hair too.

i agree with frizzybarbie. i think that not brushing the styling creme would make it not as big
