Updated album w/2nd-day and NO PRODUCT!

I don't even know if I'm a 3b/c anymore. I don't know what this stuff is on my head when I look at it with no conditioner left in! Does anybody else's hair look like this!? I don't even have split ends. I guess it is just extrmemely dry??

i like your texture!! awesome!
And the end of the day , all you've got is yourself..
I think that 3b/c is still a good way to talk about your curl pattern. Maybe the pictures weren't close up enough, but I wasn't seeing the frizz you were talking about. a wild and wonderful profusion of curls, yes.

I kept thinking, "Damn, if my hair would do that..." if that's what you've got going on with 2nd day hair and no product, then that's wow. I could see the wonderful coils at the bottom and the body and volume you've got is great.

how are you looking to change the effects?
Mixed AA 3b/3c hair. past shoulders. superfine texture. Natural - no colours or relaxers in over 4 years.
You have beautiful hair! I didnīt see any frizz, just nice, define, shiny curls!

Hair type: 3b/c
I think you are a 3b/c based on the texture and size of your curls.... Your second day hair pictures are beautiful Whoa... so many pretty curls!!! Your absolutely no product not even conditioner (but a conditioning shampoo ) are very brave... I don't know if I could be that brave but am now sort of curious... Your curls are more stretched out in those pictures, but because of the texture, I think you are still in the 3b/c camp

nice pics!i think your hair is the next level curlier than mine, so 3b/c is about right. I love the no product pix, and your hair is really gorgeous.
One Condition and Biolage Gelee picture in 1st album is really nice-healthy and well defined curls, really pretty. If i am having a GREAT hair day my hair can look like that, but not usually.
I put my frizzpix up too and the hair gets REAL BIG!! but products sure make a difference. No wonder some of us
are product junkies!

I agree with everyone else, you have beautiful hair! I actually like your no-product pics...
a wild and wonderful profusion of curls, yes.
Couldn't have said it better!

I don't think your hair is doing that because it's dry, it just has no product to hold it in. I wouldn't fret.
3a/b, fine hair... with a mind of its own!

Your hair, it's everywhere. Screaming infidelities, taking its wear.
Woa, guys, thanks, you are so nice. And I feel confident describing myself as a 3b/c now. I thought maybe looking at my hair w/ nothing in it would help me/you be able to figure out my texture a little more. I like my first and even 2nd day hair w/ the EMBC and honey, and with gel, but-- I just have it in my head for some reason that my hair should look good with nothing at all in it! That if I use anything I am cheating! I don't know why this is. Do I think I'm cheating when I put lotion on my body? I'm kinda jealous of some wavies who are like,"look, no product, it's awful!" and their hair looks shiny and perfect. I don't know maybe I'm in a weird mood. I'm visiting my family and my mom and sister straighten their hair.

Thanks Athena's Owl. I can live with how my hair looks in the 2nd day pics. I guess what is really bothering me is how bad, to me, my hair looks naked. I want to know that it is not cheating to use conditioner and honey and sometimes even gel or something. Like if someone says my hair it is prettty, it is a lie bc/ I "put stuff in it."

[edited to add] Banjocurl, in your frizz pic you combed I think and I didn't even comb. But thank you for relating, and for being brave enough to put up pics of yourself you might not be the proudest of too!

Curlyprincess, I like that you said the frizz does not mean it is damaged, but just has no product to hold it together.

Urbancurl-- why are you agonizing over this? I mean it is ok to have frizzy hair, but also Ok to make it not frizz if you can do it without harming your hair.
it is not cheating to put product in your hair, just like putting cream on your face or clothes on your body. yeah we could walk around naked and let our skin dry out, but why, when we can wear nice clothes and moisturize our skin and hair? If I could not put cream on my face I would be a wrinkly mess, just like without hair stuff my hair would frizz. I am someone who does not "do herself up" in any significant way--no makeup or shaving or stockings or heels--just face and body cream and hair stuff.
no guilt, just gratitude that the stuff is there and i have a choice! I never went the straightening route after 1968, never blow dried or anything. is it cheating to use chem straighteners and irons and things? i don't know if it is cheating but it sure is not good for the hair! I think what we do on this board is try to find ways to keep our hair healthy and beautiful. I think that big frizzy hair can be beautiful too, as long as it is healthy. I guess it depends on the esthetic of the moment--how fickle is that??
enjoy your curls girl!!!

Urban, your curl pattern is identical to mine! Your hair looks thicker, but otherwise very much the same. I always considered myself a 3b, but maybe I'm more of a 3b/c combo? I haven't tried product-less hair in a long time, but I remember that's also how my hair looked. I didn't like it either, but I LOVED how soft it was.
Eres o te haces?
Legends, your texture is similar? Thank you for posting!! I just had this realization (it's basically what you guys have all been saying, but now I am actually FEELING it)--- using condtioner and products in my hair is simply part of Taking Care of My Hair, Taking Care of Myself! It does not mean that I hate or am denying my hair texture (what I've been thinking of as cheating). I must admit, that when I look at those pics again with no products, if I didn't have those bangs, I think it would be kinda cool to wear a long, loose fro like I did when I was little!

Curltopia, I am lucky, my mom is so sweet. She always surprises me with something when I visit her!
