I think the brown plus blonde highlights is too close to your skin tone.. My vote would be for red, not blonde.

I disagree. I think that it will be very pretty on you. A teacher at one of the schools where I work is your complexion and has her hair almost exactly this way and they look beautiful on her.

Yes, I was seriously outvoted on the main hair board... Anyway, since Oddisy is going through with the highlights, I do hope that they come out great!

acually its true the color matches your skintone to much i read in seveteen mag that people with bronze skintones should not get blonde highlights or light brown cause it can wash you out i think a brown red would look really good also such a sharp contrast between your really dark hair with the blonde never looks good i just hate seeing blonde highlights in dark hair it just doesnt look good to me.

Are you not going to lift your base color and THEN add highlights?

well to get highlights on dark hair you will have to lift some color and then the stylist will color your hair whatever color you want

When I say lift your base color, I am asking if she is going to lift ALL of her hair and then put highlights in certain areas. That's how mine was. My base color was lifted 1 level and then I had highlights put in and then a toner.

Oh no problem. I was sort of responding to the part about not liking blonde on really dark hair. I should have clarified. Sry!
