I need some cheese to go with my whine

I had my hair pressed two weeks and I shampooed it today. Well, it hasn't reverted to its natural state. It looks similiar to Eva's (the winner of America's Next Top Model) hair. Has anyone else had this problem? Did it go back to natural over time or did you have to chop off the damaged hair?
When you wash it again, it should go back to normal. No worries.
Now if your hair remained stick straight, then it would be safe to say that you have a problem.

Thank you! I feel better already.
OMG!!! The same thing happened to me last week. I flat ironed my hair and wore it straight for two weeks and went to wash it and now it's wavy. It's been over a week now and it still won't curl. I'm not sure what to do with my hair as i don't want to chop my hair again. My advice would be to try a protein treatment and a deep conditioner and see if that helps and hopefully you'll have better luck.
Okay, I've shampooed 3 times since my last post. It's still wavy.

The sides are practically straight. Oh boy, I think another haircut is in order.

I still would say give it more time. When this happened to me, it took a few washings to get back to normal, but it may have been spaced out between 2 or 3 weeks. It's only been 4 days since your last post.

Hopefully, you haven't permanently straightened your hair. Good luck, and keep us posted.

When it was pressed, what kind of product was used on your hair,
I don't know what it was called but I do know it was a thermal spray. She then blow dried with a brush and flat ironed.

and what kind of shampoo have you used to wash with?
Conditioning shampoos one of which is Paves, which will strip the life out of your hair. I will say that while I was wearing my hair straight, I did you a bit of hair grease every other day for humidity purposes.

I have some Apoghee protein treatment. I just can't stand using it because of the smell. I guess I have to swallow my pride.

You might be on to something because I ran off to Supercuts to get it a haircut and they moved. I'm taking that as a sign.

Thanks for your help and your hair looks MAHvelous.
