Does anyone actually get their hair cut DRY?

Sounds great in theory, but I haven't talked to anyone who gets their hair cut dry. Is this a CG myth? Is it just for fancy schmancy New Yorkers who are able to go to Devachan?

What is the scoop?
Barely wavy mommy to a fine, silky with thready corkscrew 4 1/2yr old girl. HG's Moisture Maniac, PM The Conditioner, Cactus leave-in (original formula)"Mommy I want to look like a lion!" = hair loose and flowin'.

I also get my hair cut dry. I go to a good ole fashion barber. And I'm never disappointed and never pay more than 20 bucks and that's only cause I tip him $12 more than me actually charges (which is about 8 bucks). When he first cut my hair (which I don't do often) I had a head band on and it was pushed way back. When I took it off he was like WHOA That's false advertisement! I guess he thought my hair wasn't as long as I had warned him. But once picked out, it's a mighty Afro!

I love LOVE the dry cut! I hated hair cuts until I had a dry one. I found my salon on the CURLscene part of this site. She's read CG, but kidn of mixes it with her own thing too.

Oh, you should definately try it.
3c, mostly spirals. Finally figuring out how to live happily with these curls. And now they're starting to love me back!
Vivasmom,
I've been trying to send you a pm, but I guess you're not getting it. If you get this, would you send me a pm to see if I get it.

Thanks
Currently transitioning AGAIN!!! I won't be for long because I'm constantly cutting it!

Products I can depend on: Elucence MBC and generic PM the Conditioner!
My stylist will only cut my hair dry. Personally, I don't think I would trust a stylist who tried to cut my kinky/curly hair wet or even blow dried straight. I think that for people with a variety of textures, with varying rates of shrinkage, a dry cut is really the best way to go.
