I THINK I'm a 3a....

Greetings -

Judging from what I've read, I guess I fall into the 3a category. When wet, it's definately a 3b thing.

My only product regimine at the moment is using Bed Head frizz control serum. I haven't really explored any other options.

Feel free to just randomly suggest ideas. Especially if yo konw somewhere that I can get free samples (I HATE buying products with no idea if they'll work or not).

It is hard to tell with a black and white photo, but to meit looks more like 2b/c

I somewhat agree .. looks 2c to me with possiblities of 3a.

Have you got the Curly Girl book?

I think you look more like a 2 something too. I recommend going to the library to check out the Curly Girl book by Lorraine Massey. It's got alot of great information in it.

I don't know about free samples but Jessicurl products are popular here and she sells samples. Also, you could type "drugstore and gel" or "conditioner" or whichever specific product you are looking for into search in the upper left corner. You'll come up with a ton of cheaper products suggestions. Are there any products you are looking for suggestions on in particular?

2 things I will recommend is lots of conditioner and detangle your hair with a comb or your fingers while it has conditioner in it. No brush, I don't even own one anymore!

I think 2b looks right, but I bet if you started CG that you would find yourself in the 2c category! I second the lots of conditioner, and honey rinses!

*guano again* I did! DH and I drove to Tennessee for vacation. It was a blast! I'm honored that you noticed I was gone.

It was fun but I wouldn't recommend driving 3,000 miles too frequently! It's nice to be home and our kitties are glad we're back.

not to sound like a broken record here but I bet you will have fun reading the CG book. I learned a lot about how to treat my hair!
I ended up trying to follow the CG routine and loved what it did to my hair, made it less frizzy, evened out the texture, gave me more good hair days than ever! I'm sure that your true type will be more obvious once on CG.
With this hair type, brushing is definitely a no-no!
