I found a coil today!!

It was first thing in the morning so I was afraid I was imagining it, but after blinking twice and wiping my eyes, it was still there! It wasn't a coil the whole length down, but the last 3 inches was a complete coil. Thick and pretty tight :D I had tried a sample of the Curls Curl Ecstacy Tea conditioner before going to bed, and had done the 2xhoney rinse (warm before condish and cold after), and then tried a sample of Curls Curly Q Potion to style with, and then plopped a little while before airdrying while I slept. My hair was super soft when I woke up, and still a bit damp, but the coiled section was dry. Anyway, had to share my elation! :) Now I'm just hoping it happens more often!

:D! Lush, I have to tell you I love your posts...you always make me smile! You're such a sunny person!
Yey to the coils in ur hair! :P

lushaholic 08-03-2005 09:20 PM

Thanks Munequita! You're such a sweetie! :D

Congratulations!! Isn't it exciting? One day out of the blue, and a little springy coil pops up and you wonder where it came from. This happened to me a month or so ago, and it was so exciting. I wish I could reproduce it on demand. Your hair is sooo pretty, so shiny --- love it (with or without coils).

^j^

Still there?

lushaholic 08-06-2005 10:54 PM

no, i think it ran away.

sweetpeacurli 08-08-2005 06:03 PM

Same thing has happened to me today (except they're still there). I think it's either because of my haircut on Saturday (lots of weight taken off) or because I (a) didn't comb conditioner through today, I finger combed only, (b) rinsed conditioner out upside down, (c) applied product and plopped while I was still in the shower, or (d) some combination of the above (since every one of those things was new to my routine!), but I actually have 4 coils today!! One on either side of my head coming out from my temples, and two at the nape of my neck, where the hair is usually the straightest! They go from the root all the way to the end! Looks kinda funny because the rest of my head is SO much looser, but maybe by continuing this pattern I'll wind up with more of them? What do you think?

That would be awesome! Now I just wish mine would stick around for longer than one day.

Had you done something different that resulted in that first one?

lushaholic 08-08-2005 11:38 PM

Hmm, well I know I had used the Asian Tea condish for the first time the night before, as well as a first test of the Curly Q's potion. <---I love that stuff! :)

Is that potion a styler?

lushaholic 08-09-2005 02:04 PM

Yep, it's a moisturizer and styler in one. :) It's the texture of B&A, and not sticky at all.

sweetpeacurli 08-09-2005 03:33 PM

Mine went away after one day, too. I had visions of myself with a head full of sausage curls. :(

Does it have hold like a gel too or is it a lighter curl enhancer (like RR or Gelebration) with no hold?

Kurlee 08-09-2005 06:32 PM

And is it protein free?

oh yeah, and cone free too? :D Answer us Lush, answer us!!! :hyper:hyper.gif

lushaholic 08-09-2005 07:35 PM

LOL, you guys are hilarious! It's cone-free (do you really think I would use it if it wasn't?? C'mon girls get with the program! :P ). The only thing with a cone I use is One C. I don't think it has any hold, don't think it's meant to have. It's protein free too. :D Do you guys want the ingredients? 8) It smells good too! :)
