I tried it once and didn't like the end result. It was incredibly sticky and I was afraid I had ripped out a few too many strands of hair My hair was brittle feeling after using it, but it did have a mean shine!

I use it on my ends and hairline sometimes. You could possibly add some essential oils to it to thin it out a little cuz it's really thick and sticky.

Trader joes has vit E oil in a Soybean (or was it sunflower? ) base. I use it for perking up hair on non wash days... but I'm not sure if the E does anything special that the base oil wouldn't.

Mine was not sticky but it had safflower or sunflower oil in it. I only used a little of it too. I only use it now (if at all) right before I wash my hair.

I use vitamin e oil on my nails and cuticles and when i read this thread i decided to try it on my hair. the ends of my hair get really dry and i put a little vitamine e oil on the ends yesterday and it worked really, really, really well! the ends were shiny and moisturized.
The oil is very thick and sticky, but my hair is very thick, and i only used a little. I am happy with it and plan to keep using it. Thanks for the idea!!

Default I used vitamin e oil

I have a bottle of Vitamin E oil (mixed with soybean oil and coconut oil) not the capsules. I used some on my hair after washing, then brushed it and let it air dry. It made my hair very shiny and silky, actually it was so straight I didn't even blow dry or flat iron like I usually would.

It also depends on how strong the Vit. E oil is.. I have two bottles: one is 70k IU, and the other is 12K IU in strength. The 12k is much thinner and easier to apply. 70k is thick and sticky.. it needs to be thinned out with another oil or applied very sparingly. The 70k IU might be good to mix in with Flax Seed Gel to give it more hold now that I'm thinking about it..

Why not use argan oil? It's a great source of vitamin E and is great for dry curly hair!
Fmasuhr and audrey.g.dav like this.

I think that i would mix it into a deep conditioning treatment, do a scalp massage with to wash out or mix it into another basic oil(jojoba, almond, etc..).

I've mixed a few drops in with oil.

Blame it on the cell phone...

I add a little to my homemade flaxseed gel. I like it.
