Homemade Jojoba Jelly

I came across a jojoba jelly recipe in the product review forum and I wanted to see if that worked better for me than the curling custard did. The only thing I am missing is how to apply it. Does anyone know?

Hi I would love to share.

I mix 4 oz No Ad Aloe Vera Gel

With 1 oz jojoba oil( any brand) and 1 oz vegatble glycerine

whip together and enjoy. This has a light green color and it smooths really well in the hair. It defines my coils/curls and it doesnt leave hair crunchy. If you experience crunchiness, just add alil more jojoba oil and glycerine. My hair dries soft.

What is No Ad Aloe Vera Gel? Where can you find it?
I still have the recipe but haven't gotten around to trying it yet. Someone has to do it for the group!!!

Well, I did it but I used FOTE. I don't know what the real jojoba jelly was like but my hair feels nice with this. I don't see any more curls than I normally would which is fine by me. I like the softness, though. I think I will keep doing this for a while.

I really miss this product and am going to start hunting around for a decent substitute because the Curling Custard just does not cut it.

what you guys mean by curls are going to lay flat??

Oddisy-

Some of us have issues with hair volume and hair getting bigger as the day wears on. It's not a huge problem for me, but I like to have a controlled look all day without changes like that. If the concept confuses you, don't worry about it as it probably doesn't apply to you.

HTH!

I made the HOMEMADE JOJOBA JELLY about 2 weeks ago.
I really like it !
I did not measure the ingredients when I added them to the AVG
I first tried it to get 2nd day hair, and it worked well.

I found I needed more oil and later added some of my oil mixture, and flax seed gel.
Now I use it daily, under my styling product.
It's GREAT

I have all the ingredients. I am going to try this today!
I tried it and it helped control my crazy frizzy hair.

WOW - So many great reviews I'll try to play kitchen beautician this weekend and see if it works! I've never done anything like that before so will keep my fingers crossed that I can get the mixture down just right!

Mafalda -

It's in that super super long Kinky Curly Curling Custard thread on the product review board, somewhere in the last 3-5 pages. Kesse posted it and a bunch of us were all over it

New Question:

Does anyone know where you can purchase pure Jojoba Oil for the homemade recipe??

I purchased 100% JOJOBA OIL at my local health food store.
It is a bit pricey, but worth it

Let me know how it works for you.

I'm trying to 'stock up' on the AVG now because here in OHIO it will be cold again soon, and the 'summer skin care products' will no longer be in stock
I found some AVG (FOTE) at DOLLAR TREE , and I bought all they had in stock!
Now I'm down to my last bottle, so the search is on
