Here's a mini update....over the last week I've been using ORS twist and loc gel. It works pretty good, but I am concerned about the long-lasting effects e.g. dryness. So, I'm still searching. I haven't ordered the Thick and Slick custard yet, but I'm going to. I am so lucky to have NC.com and all of my sisters in the name of the curl. If I didn't have you all, I probably would have cut my hair. Or worse, relaxed it straight!
Tight curls...well maybe not so much anymore.

Gracias chica! I'd love to see more pics of your hair...I'm assuming a journal is in order?

By the looks of it, our hair is similar...lost between the realms of type 3c and 4a...

Sorry to hear about your situation. But I was wondering, was bubble up a gel base, cream base, etc? I never heard of it. If I did, I would have bought it.

I am sooo bummed out. What do you do when your miracle product is no longer available? Bubble-up was that product for me and I can't get it anymore. Long story short, the company took my money and never made good on my product. I can't find anything to replace it, I'm seriously thinking about chopping off my hair. HELP!

Nice firm hold, but still soft hair...hard to find.

EDIT - When I say hard to find, I mean the combo of firm and still soft hair.

I placed an order for this product at afroworld.com before coming across this post. I thought I had missed out on my chance to try this product which I had finally decided to try after putting it off for years. Well I just got a call from afro world needing me to let them know if I wanted chocolate or vanilla (and the shipping rate was higher do to weight than what was quoted me and wanting to know if I still wanted it). She said it would ship out today. I'll keep the forum updated.

Whoa, so1913 you dug this one out of the archives! I saw the bubble up on the Afroworld website, but they were charging twice as much. I think I'm over it now. I tried KinkyCurly today for the first time. I like it, so I'm healing and I'm moving on.
Tight curls...well maybe not so much anymore.
