I'm a 3b, I think. My hair is very fine, soft and it holds style pretty well when its healthy. Unfortunately, its currently dry, damaged and frizzy.

This is a pic of my hair when its been blow dried (my usual styling routine...) And though it looks red in this photo (or so I've been told) I'm actually blond.

Here's another photo...

By the way, you all have such beautiful curls!

This is not my best photo, but I can't get the other to work. It just shows a red x.

Have had my hair short for almost a year now. No regrets! Still loving it!
Just wanted to add mine This is my most recent cut. I really, really like it, but it's grown out a bit and looking bad. I'm trying to decide if I should grow it out of cut it the same again.

still looking for good affordable products. Any tips are welcomed
right, i should have done this ages ago, i always meant to but oh well...lazy me :P I think my hair is a mix of 3a and 3b, but it's got some 2c underneath...it was healthy even before i started CG because I've had it curly since 2001, when i found out puberty had turned it curlier. However, the CG keeps my curls more defined for longer, which is what i used to look for when i used silicone-based products before, plus the hideous sulfate ...tell me what you think , I am letting it grow again, i had a curly bob for like 4 years and even chopped it all off cos i fancied short hair for a while, but I know want it LONG, it's getting there. Let's hope my attachments work

I prefer to use mousse because it gives me more bounce and volume than gel, though i make a cocktail of mousse and a tiny bit of flax seed gel :P Then as days go by, i just give them a retouch with curl crème or aloe vera gel because the wind can make curls go mad hehe. What is your routine? are you proper CG or do you still use silicone-based products?

Well basically what you have to make sure is that your conditioner and styling products contain no silicones so your hair gets properly moisturised. What you have to avoid is those ingredients ending with -cone, -xane etc because those are not water soluble and will buil up in your hair. However, there are some water soluble ones that can be washed with a cowash or water wahs...here's the link that explains it better
http://www.naturallycurly.com/curlre...p-on-silicones

I wash my hair with a sulfate free poo around once a month and i cowash it once or twice a week because i can up to 4 days with nice curls...for me, the key is to proetct them durng the night, that is sleeping with a silk scarf or i put it all up with two big claw clips...I like using the silk scarf because in the morning, my curls are bouncy when i take it off, so i just spray a spray i made of some conditioner in a bottle of water to perk them up and if there is any odd curl that needs definition, then i put some curl crème or aloe vera gel. I have also tried the baking soda ACV method to clarify and it's also good.
What styling products do you use? make sure your products are silicone free! the CG method helped me get defined curls for longer. Hope that helps

My Hair after a couple months of doing mostly curly girl routine. I grew it out to donate to Locks of Love and decided to keep it long at least until after my lovely step-daughter's wedding this weekend. I am liking my hair a lot more than I did a couple months ago when is just drove me crazy with the fizzies. Still not perfect, but looking better!

Well my curls can transform... see they look really lose in that one photo, ringlet in the other, and big in the other! That was me when I had bangs, they are grown out to my chin now (when straightened) but I haven't tried straightening them with the rest curly. Currently I use Aussie Mousse + Leave in Conditioner, but I hate it! Very crunchy and hard to manipulate!

Here are mine. I'm still growing out a butcher of a haircut. The hair towards the bottom of my head/neck just barely reaches the bottom of my neck and the hair on the top/sides is shorter then that so... it's kinda crazy looking. Here's the link

Your curls are ideal. Absolutely stunning. I am growing mine long too.

Oh my god, you people are freakin' ridiculous--look how perfect your hair is! I am blown away at what great definition and shine everyone's hair has. Wow. I'm both intimidated and inspired!

Here was my hair in January. Please ignore the sweet Woody Allen look I'm rocking here... the glasses were the remnant of a Christmas cracker, and this is the only picture I could find that had enough light to show my hair well enough.

this is my curly hair. these aren't my best pictures but they're better than the other ones i took..

But i was just wondering, is my hair classifed as 3B? because now that I think about it, I'm not really sure. What's your opinion?
Mostly 3B, but with a little 2B. Medium texture, Normal porosity. Still tryinq to fiqure out what products work best for me.

But currently usinq:
Co-wash, rinse out condish (& sometimes, leave-in):V05 Passion Fruit Smoothie Conditioner& V05 Strawberries and Cream Conditioner;
Leave In: Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Leave-In;
Styling: Garnier Fructis Curl Shaping Spray Gel

Goal: hair length to be BSL & much much healthier

Slowly discovering my curly beauty.

3b
I use garnier leave in conditioner, tresemme anti frizz spray and LA looks curl gel. let it air dry and voila
