This is my hair around summer/fall before I dyed/highlighted/bleached and used a straight iron on it countless times. My hair here is a little damaged but not nearly as bad as it is now! I refuse to post pics of how my hair looks now, because it is that bad and embarrasing. It is damaged and fried. I cut it above chin length to get rid of the damage and made it worse! Now I have gross tangly dry frizzy hair and the whole top layer will not curl at all

Thanks guys! It's been many, many years of work to get them to look that way. They used to be just a wall of frizz.

Babyk005, your pics are very pretty.
It does take time and TLC - along with finding out what your hair needs, but it can be done. We're here for you!

I'm definitely not a 3b. I'm more of a 3c/4a girl. But your girls inspire me. You guys have beautiful hair!

OMG! All your curly heads are gorgeous! I just cut off all of my straightener in Feb 08. I have been following a no poo plan and haven't used any heat AT ALL. These pix were taken in March. It has grown almost 3 inches and since then my curls are starting to settle down. It helps as I get my routine developed too.

I have an amazing shrink factor, so some length will be nice and add some weight to it. I am hoping to have a ponytail that bounces by Christmas!

Here is a pic before I went pooless...this time this is washing after having flat ironed my hair. My curls are fried. I have been flat ironing for 6 years =/ I am trying the curly thing again.
Now here I am today after No poo for 2 weeks...no brushing or combing. Right now I am using Hello Hydration Conditioner then about a tsp of coconut oil, 3in1 mousse then I plop
My curls have lost their way, they have forgotten how to curl.
One problem I really have is that I get all the product on the top layer of my hair. How do you guys get product on all your hair? Does that make sense? I have thought of pinning up the top layers then reapplying to the inside layers. Has anyone tried this?
