Also, thank you so much for your product reviews over at Fotki. I'm very new to CG (haven't even learned all the acronyms yet

) it's really helpful and gave me some ideas on what I'd like to purchase\try.

Secondly: Where do you find decent clips for hair? I have very thick hair and would like something to pull the sides, or my bangs back, any good suggestions? I've been using bandanas a lot lately.

My hair is starting to look better after almost a month of CG. I had to cut off about 5 inches last winter after using Feria hair color on it.I cant wait for it to get longer.

Drugstore, 5 for $2! Mine have a tortoise shell color to them. Kind of in love. They do a great job of pinning back my hair all day without being too glitzy. I've also recently gotten into bobby pins to control smaller pieces of hair that don't fit into these.

Also, girls on nc.com love Flexi-8 clips. They can hold more hair.

Ok on a good day my hair looks exactly like yours, Misfitcurls.... but I thought I was a 3a??? But then I look at redcelticurls and her's is curlier than mine. Are those 3a curls?? What am I?!?!? Sessac81's hair is curlier than mine, is she considered 3a?? I swear I'm curlier than a 2, I have spirals!! ACK! I'm new to this and way confused!!

i believe sessac and red celtic are both 3b's as well if your hair is similar to mine red celric and sessac thatn you mght be 3b... best bet is to post a pic and ask the lovely ladies of this site who are good at hair typing

Here is what I've got... long hair is before CG, believe it on not, and I hacked it off (mommy hormones, I think). Thankfully, the curls are still rocking.
All the gals that have posted here have lovely hair - just gorgeous!

I call myself a 3b with some 3a in there. My back is looser than my front and sides, and the curl diameter in the back is on the larger side which leans a bit 3a. but, the curl still starts very quickly and is tighter when shorter. They are looser now, but I had perfect boing-boing curls at about shoulder length.

I think I grade a bit differently than some thogh since i tend to type a subgroup lower than others do.

I also consider myself 3B with a little 3A mixed in. I have curl to the root, but the longer my hair gets, the more enlongated the root curls get, until they almost look flat... ugh. I second misfits suggestion to post a pic and we'll try to "diagnose" you.

I am seeing my stylist this Saturday and am planning on cutting a few inches off, . I normally like my hair being long, but I hate how my root curls are starting to get loose. Hopefully, once I get my hair cut, my curls will all spring up and I'll have massive volume... a girl can dream, cant she?

On a side note, mystery, you are one of my hair idols! I absolutely love your hair and dont think that I've ever seen you have a bad hair day. I second that you should be in an ad for CG!!
