Default Elasta QP Mango Butter

I bought the Mango Butter on on impulse today. I think it will be good for updos and 2nd day hair. Has anyone tried it? What do you like/dislike about it?

Does anyone know if the BWC Moisture Plus Shampoo can wash out the Mango Butter cones?

TIA

It's a great moisturizer, an is really good for smoothing down your edges if your are wearing an updo or a ponytail, so yes you are right there. I haven't tried it on my natural hair. I used it when I was transitioning.

I have only used Elasta QP Mango Butter when I was transitioning or wearing it pressed. It is very moisturizing and smells great. I have yet used it when wearing my hair curly (which is the norm now). When you use it, let us know how it works for you. I'd be interested to know.

I have not tried the mango butter, but the glaze is really good for slicking your edges and updo's, plus it washes out easily.

I'm going to try the glaze. I used the glaze when my hair was relaxed, but not since then. I need something for my edges to because they are SCARY sometimes. IC Fantisia gel works great on my edges but there is nothing wrong with trying something new.

i forgot to mention too that the glaze gives a really soft hold, that's why I like it so much when I slick my hair back, but it sucks when you try to use it for anything else like curl formation.

The Mango Butter is really good. I have tried it. Problem: after about 2 or 3 uses, mine is gone. Maybe because I have really thick hair... I just bought BB Castor Oil Creme (the jar) so I'm about to try that out. But if you're thinking about trying the Mango Butter... do it!

I used to use this regularly but it goes so fast. I started mixing it with ORS Carrot Oil just to make it stretch and that worked. I really like it a lot, mixed and alone. It was a great moisturizer for me.

Thanks, curlies.

I have been using it for a couple of days and it is working out great. It works better if I apply it when my hair is wet. If I apply it on my dry hair, it just sits there and looks greasy. LOL

Okay...I'm gonna have to go out and buy some more. Like I said, I used it during my transition but not anytime after that. I know it's a great moisturizer because I NEVER experience any breakage during my transition; and I really think it's due to the mango butter.

I always hear about this product, so was excited to stumble upon it in a (massive!) beauty supply store today. Has anyone used it for twists?

Cehua: When you used it on wet hair, did you use it pretty much as a leave-in, with gel layered over it? Did it provide any hold? What kind of results did it give you?

I hate this stuff on dry hair- it just sat on my hair with a greasy film, not absorbing at all. If I didn't throw it out, I will try it on wet/damp hair sometime.

i tried this product after reading reviews on various sites. it did not agree w my hair. while it defined greatly, it left my curls very ashy and crunchy when dried. i gave it away in a swap box.
