Abba Nourishing--thanks Urbancurl!

I was reading one of her posts a while back about this leave-in, so I thought I'd try it. So far I really like it for clumping ( the first product I've tried that does that for me with no manipulation on my part!) I have to experiment with it, though, because I need just a little more oil than what it has. I have tried mixing it with coconut oil, but that was too greasy. I'm trying macadamia nut oil mixed with Abba Nourishing today, and that's much better. My hair looked good with the leave-in only, but felt dry on the ends (colored and damaged).

Has anyone tried any other Abba products, and if so, how do you like them?

UPDATE--I have been mixing the Abba Nourishing leave-in with a few drops of olive oil per dollop, and that worked great! That seemed to be just enough moisture, but not too greasy. On my next trip to the beauty supply, I think I'll buy some other Abba products just to experiment.

Ooh, I'm so glad it's been working for you!!

I have not tried adding oils or honey anything to it. Why have I not tried this? Keep letting us know about your experiments with it!

I'd like to try more Abba stuff too. I have a sample of the True Curls shampoo and conditioner which I haven't tried yet, and a full size tube of one of the other conditioners that I got free. I haven't tried that because it's got one of the heavy cones, so I'm not sure I will.

I do have the Gel-Lotion, which is just like a gel to me, I don't know why they call it a lotion. I haven't experimented much with it, but I'll use it tomorrow or the next day and post about it.

Which ones are you thinking of getting? I remember there being some sort of creme-gel that people were posting about a while back...

I was looking at the ABBA deep conditioner (fogot the name)--the ingredients looked great, but it was a little too expensive at the time. The gel-lotion looks interesting too. But I will have to wait a little later to experiment with either of those, as I just got my Curls package in the mail today!!! I've got Pure Essentials and Curl Souffle currently drying in my hair, and I can't wait to see how it will look in the AM.

I didn't use the gel-lotion like I said I would because I got a box of new stuff too.

Yes I think it does have a cone. One of the ones that starts with "C" if I remember correctly. That's the one I got free and haven't used yet. But maybe I will, as I do shampoo.

Hi all!

One question about this product: I bought it over the weekend and noticed the ingredient list listed Witch Hazel.

Then I looked at the product review page on this site, where the ingredients are listed, and it doesn't list Witch Hazel.

Does it have Witch Hazel in it???

ABBA leave in is one of my fav leave-ins. Whenever I come back to this from using other leave-ins, I'm always amazed at how good it is. Plus, it's vegan, which I love.

I'm finally getting around to looking at the ingredients, and it does list witch hazel extract. What does witch hazel do for the hair?

This Abba stuff is WONDERFUL.

I've been doing my twisouts a different way lately: I twist my hair, THEN wet it in the shower...and when I get out, I squeeze dry, put some Abba Nourishing on my twists, tie it down and go to bed. When I wake up, I have the most amazing twistout! AND it's soft as hell. I didn't have to put anything else on it.

This is definitely a staple. They sell it at a salon supply store near my house (in St. Louis) so I'm gonna make sure I continue to buy it. Plus, ironically, the Moisture Maniac Products are sold there too, but their products cost more for a smaller amount! I spent $20 on it, but it's a huge bottle. The big bottle of Moisture Maniac was $25.
