Another great conditioner!
I ran out of my Elucence, and needed a conditioner I could buy right away. One of my local BSS sells salon brand products, and I stumbled upon Tigi Moisture Maniac conditioner.
LOVE THIS STUFF!
As soon as I put it on my hair, there was excellent slip(instant detangling). Detangled my hair very well, and left it nice and soft after rinsing. And the longer I left it in, the better my hair felt. I could probably do without the cotton candy-like scent, but it's an excellent alternative to Elucence. I don't know about using it as a leave in, but it works well for CO rinses.
I remember Amneris saying that she uses this(or maybe used this in the past), which was one of the reasons I tried it out. So here's a big shout-out to you, Amneris!

Holla back!
Yeah, this is in my rotation. I think Bunny uses it too and also vivasmom on her daughter.
I love the slip it gives and I actually don't mind the scent though it's not my favourite. It's a good non-internet order choice! Glad you like it!

Is it CG-friendly?

Here are the ingredients, UcurlGirl:
Water (Aqua), Cetyl Alcohol, Behentrimonium Methosulfate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetrimonium Chloride, Glycerin, Acetamide MEA, Cetrimonium Bromide, Stearyl Alcohol, Parfum(Fragrance), DMDM Hydantoin, PPG-2 Myristyl Ether Propionate, Pentaerythrityl Tetracaprylate/Tetracaprate, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Tetrasodium EDTA, Silk Amino Acids, D&C Orange 4,
As far as I can tell, it's CG friendly.
ETA: Realized I copied and pasted the old ingredient list. Updated with ingredients from my bottle.

LOVE this! and I do use it as a leave -in sometimes, just a pea size or so. I actually prefer it to elucense MBC. Look for is in sale, I found a liter for 14 bucks at a hair salon in the mall. I Love a bargain!!
Bunny turned me on to this in a PM when I first came to the site. Thanks!

I love this, too. I was using it for a while, and loved the way it felt in my hair-I was also using it as a leave-in. I actually love the smell! My mother stole mine over Christmas and I've been using my Bumble and Bumble ever since....When that liter runs out, I think I'm sold on buying a liter size of M.maniac when it goes on sale again at T. Secret.

I just bought two liters because i had a gift card and because of the recommendations from you curlies.
I am going to use it this weekend for my detangling section...will update with results.

I wish I could use it But its in a small bottle and my hair is so porous and soaks up loads of water and conditioner. The bottle would be empty in 1 week.

They have bigger bottles in the salon - the little bottle I use for travelling.

kindredspirit1983,
Yes, Trade Secret has the smaller bottles and the liter bottles. I almost bought the smaller, but decided to give the liter bottles a try. So glad i did.
Shygirl:
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Shygirl for posting about this conditioner!
This conditioner is the best!
I couldn’t wait until Saturday to try the conditioner, so…
I shampooed, did a vinegar rinse and put in conditioner. The fragrance to me is more of a sweet melon, but it doesn’t linger.
I am finger combed in a bit before I put on the plastic cap and let it set for 30 minutes. Finger combing was not too difficult. Okay, it has been 30 minutes. De-tangling was a breeze! And the best part – I didn’t apply a lot of conditioner. It also helped that I had a spray bottle with water to dampen my hair. Spraying helped to “reactivate” the conditioner. I am sold! I am tempted to return to buy 2 more bottles while it is on sale.
This stuff is great!
This is now my favorite conditioner.

*sigh* - now i'm going to have to run out and buy this... even though i have a whole row of conditioners sitting unopened on my bathroom floor. i've always been curious about MM - the only tigi product i've tried is control freak.

I'm glad you like it, Curlybound06!
And you're right, it does have a melon-like smell. It's not a bad scent, maybe just a tad bit sweeter than I'm use to. It's not as light as Elucence is(scent wise).
To everyone who hasn't tried it , don't feel like you HAVE to try it because we've had good results.

I SURE DO! I've been using this for five years now! This is one of the few conditioners that has NEVER left my rotation! I wouldn't have known about it if my stylist hadn't recommended it... I rarely buy things that stylists try to sell to me, but I had just gotten my first curly cut, so I figured I should try some new things. Thank goodness -- I would have still been in a Pantene rut!!!!
P.S. Hi to Vivasmom! Glad the conditioner is working so well on your daughter!
P.P.S. If any of you have a store called Mastercuts near you, occassionally they'll have the liter on sale for $10 Also. Trade Secret's 2 for $24 Tigi liter sales are always in February and August!!!
